I always see it as Teddy and Ole saving the day......In my mind Ole is a legend because he was such a great player over many years. I still think Teddy is a huge Utd hero but not a legend.
I believe Teddy doesn't get the praise he deserves for that performance in the final '99...
Everyone talks about Ole and how he scored that winner to steal the hearts of the fans throughout the world but the hero behind the scene was Teddy Sheringham...1 goal and an assist is a massive contribution...Had it not been for him , there would not be the "Ole" case...
For me, he is a true legend and the biggest hero of that final ....

what a great player!as mentioned above he is a united hero but not a legend!had he come to united earlier in his career i am sure that he would become a legend!
for what he did in 99 he is a legend in my eyes...well, sort of...![]()
David Beckham deserves a mention for absolutely running his socks off in that game, he was everywhere. People say we got outplayed by Bayern on the night, but look at our midfield. Not one position in midfield was filled by it's regular starter.
I love the way he rubed Arsenal's nose in it, he strolled through North London with his medals around his neck. He's not a legend but he will never be forgotten.
Teddy had one good season for United. The rest he was pretty dire.
Oh Teddy, Teddy...
You're right. Especially after he was criticised so much for not scoring 50,000 goals in his first season.
Teddy set it up for Ole, and Ole fully admits and complements Sheringham for that. Wonderful players, both of them.
throughout his whole career teddy was an outstanding player , glad he won some medals at utd and he was the player who turned the game utds way in the 99 champions league final , and he will be forever remembered by proper utd fans . im waiting for him to resurface has a manager with his knowledge of the game he should do well .
i'm maybe tossing around with an expression but i find him legendary coz he was one of the most important players for leaving his mark in such a historical season...that's why i find him legendary
i used to think teddy was kinda overlooked on the part he played in the treble season until i saw a documentary on his and he said his best memory in football is the holland game in euro 96!!!
says it all really dont it?cockney
