nice one mate, great video. legend.
great vid the manc posted there ---see how he had such sublime balance --- with old heavy balls hobnail footy boots ,pitches like cow fields and defenders trying to cut him in two .
maradona is the only one that came close for that ability --ronaldo approaches it at times
The Best video was made by Johan. He's made loads of amazing United vids in the video section....

George Best is a absolute legend.
I personally hate the term Man U, as it's ManUre referencing generally used by Leeds (scum) and Scousers (Bindippers), shouldn't need to explain the historical meaning of it.
There is some footage of George Best running right through the Coventry? defence. He went out to the right wing and stopped. He was facing his opponent and reached down and took his boot off and then proceeded to dribble past him with his boot in his hand.
He was full of tricks like that and was so skilled at dribbling he could stop to catch his breath and then he'd be off again. His opponents were too scared to try and make a tackle on him when he would stop because George had such phenominal acceleration he would be past them and gone in a split second.
Ronaldo is the only one to have the ability to recreate the runs George made but he wasn't as good as Bestie at it.
Oh BTW, welcome EDPC, nice to have some more older members on board
IM from that era and Bestie was fantastic balance speed he could head a ball he could tackle and was a tough lad for a slightly built lad , i first saw him in 1967 my first visit to O/T with my dad i still still recall the first time he got the ball that day it was like a surge of electric had shot round the staduim people sat in the stands stood up and a loud roar erupted , he was playing on the right that day but went where ever he wanted to go i was mesermised by his speed and skill, i once saw him take the urine out of Bobby Moore no mean feat that, we were 3-1 up and Bestie had the ball he stopped the ball dead and beckoned Moore to come and get it as Moore got to him Bestie very cheekly chipped the ball over his head ran round him and left him for dead O/T went nuts , booze got the better of him and i still dont believe we saw the best of him he left United aged just 28 im just glad i saw him play .
He also once beat Scotland on his own for Ireland in 1967 the Irish still call it The George Best International Google it for a read .
Even in those damp conditions his dribbling ball control was fantastic, i wonder how it would have been if he had played in todays conditions like Emirates or OT.
None of the current British players can reach the quality of his play. Rooney is a small boy trying to overreach compared to Best's stature.
lets be fair a bestie comes along once or twice a lifetime
