Oooooh eager beaver Marie, the questions are flying in now

I am a Manchester United fan because of my father and the fact that I grew up watching United in the pub and on TV, inherited all the posters, magazines etc.

My dad's brother worked in Manchester when he was 16 and my dad was around 10 and I guess he just began to follow United from then on and so I then followed United.

As a youngster, around 5 years of age, I was stuck between Liverpool and United. My dad's friend was a Liverpool supporter and I used to be minded by his wife while my dad was working. So each evening I'd come home a Liverpool fan and the next morning I'd go to my dad's friends house a United fan

That lasted until a week ago jk, for a few months

Then I decided to go with my Dad, he's never wrong, and I've never regretted the decision since.

Mine's a complex one really.... all of my Dads side are the family are United fans, except for my Dad who chose to be "the black sheep" and decided to become a City fan, so when I was old enough (about 7) he took me along to a couple of City games, but I used to cheer when the other team scored so he stopped taking me I decided that if it was good enough for him then it was for me too and from that time on my heart was truly red (the song My old man said be a city fan, is actually veryt accurate in my case)

I never had any influence from my family or due to where I lived - it was all down to TV and an impressionable young mind.

My father and his father both followed Liverpool but never really supported them i.e. go to games, watch all the matches on TV or wear the shirt. They just watched occasionally on TV and always checked the results - definition of glory hunters I suppose.

My older brother supports Preston these days and occasionally attends games but that didn't really start until he lived there and I was already a Man United supporter.

My local team is Lancaster City and they are so far down the league ladder I didn't even know they existed until I was nearly in my teens.

My first memory of football is from when I was 5yrs old. I remember watching a team in red play a team in yellow on the TV and the team in yellow scored. I repeatedly asked my dad if it was offside (I had no idea what offside was!), as annoying little kids do, and when he finally said it wasn't I suddenly got very upset and wanted the team in red to win.

The team in red was Manchester United. They lost that game 1-0 to Norwich City but I had fallen in love and the obsession steadily grew as I got older.
