Just jib the tram no-one ever checks.

Tours usually you can just turn up. pre-book to make sure though.

You walk out of the platform into the main station inside. Depending on what platform you are on, turn left and head near the toilets. You'll see some escalators and stairs going underground. Go down them and turn left. Down more stairs into the tram station.

not very long, i'd say around 15 mins.

the metrolink isn't hard to find, as there are loads of signs in picadilly station itself.
