Disappointed we lost but more so with the performance. We only seemed to turn up after we went 2-0 down.

Zenit played very well and looked dangerous when they attacked.

The only United player that looked like he wanted to win was Tevez. I have no idea what Scholes was thinking when he handled it into the net and the look on Fergie's face when the interviewer told him Scholes would miss the Villareal game was priceless - he looked like he was sucking a wasp!!! Nani was very disappointing but I'm sure he'll improve as the season goes on.

2. A full-strength Zenit well into their domestic season played a half-strength United just beginning their domestic season.

3. We will only know the ultimate truth if a full-strength Zenit meet a full-strength United.

4. I don't know which member(s) was/were insensitve enough with his/their comments that seem to have irked you somewhat. But two wrongs do not make one right.

5. Humility and forbearance are good virtues.

Do enjoy your deserved celebration with your fellow fans though.

End of.

Agree with everything you said here. Hope our teams meet in the CL final.

Well much better teams are to beat much worse ones. Or your brain captain has another opinion?

yes utd play better without scholes these days , scholes was a magnificent player always dangerous in the opponents box and would score his quota of goals .now he does not score many and anderson and park are far more dangerous than an ageing scholes and cover miles more ground per game. o,shea is also more likely to score than scholes and o,shea can tackle and win the ball without giving stupid freekicks away frequently, its plain to see that utd have performed better without scholes over the last season ,scholes can still come off the bench and play a part but can no longer run the game has he did at his magnificent best.

I'm not an MU fan but even for me the things you say are weird after Scholes scored the only goal against Barcelona in the UCL 1/2

He ran the game against Portsmouth.

Showboat and waste of space. One hit wonder with goals from distance but
rubbish otherwise. Can't cross, can't shoot consistently, can't out muscle
someone, can't beat his man 9 times out of 10 and I could go on...

As for the result, not the end of the world, loosing Scholsey is more of a
disappointment to me, but anyways. It was stupid, didn't see his first yellow, but
it was a moment of madness. At least it wasn't a bone breaking challenge, eh?

Rooney looks like he's on top form as does Tevez. Park impressed me too.....

Don't know what your problem with Nani is but the way you talk about him 'this Nani chap' suggests you don't watch him that often. In his first season when he wasn't supposed to be playing that often, he played 40 times, scored 4 goals and set up 15. He also scored a vital, pressure penalty in Moscow.
