Terrible to know that Rooney got sent off again. I am however glad to see Scholes and Ole back on the scoresheet though.

Rooney's sending off was a joke! And apparently they'll be reported to the FA, which means both may be suspended for the beginning of our season...

Yup, totally ridiculous. Referee was a joke in the first match. He should take a leaf out of the ref from the Man U vs Ajax match. How Rooney can get sent off for that nothing challenge when 2 minutes before one of the Porto players elbowed Solskjaer in the head on purpose and all he got was a freekick.

However, that said, I thought we looked pretty good on the counter, though we left the middle of the park too open. We really do need a proper no-nonsense defensive midfielder.
