Bicycle is a brand of playing cards. I thought they were world famous, especially after how big of a surge poker has made the last few years, but apparently not as big as I thought outside of the states (it's pretty much the only major card company here). Either way, he had 53 bicycle playing cards around him. Someone caught him cheating and murdered him. Regardless of how it's done (knife, beating, gun, etc) he's still quite dead.

I'm really surprised. I've never had that answered without someone having figured out where it took place (gambling hall, old western pub, etc).
