Alves could solve many problems !

im must admit im not dead set on getting alves in a sense that i dont think i'd pick him above wes on recent form, but ! he could be a perfect signing for us and heres why ... he can be a right full back if ever wes isn't availibe or we have and injury else where in defence but this is why i think he could be a great signing ... many of us have been saying that we need an extra winger in the squad and i actually believe he's a better winger than a full back, if anybody saw the copa amrecia final last summer you will know what i mean, he came on scored and won the game from a wingers position and im sure he could come off both flanks, i believe he could kill two birds with one stone so to speak lol what do you think guys ?

I read your entire post and while i think he can play as winger too, I can;t get over your assertion that you don't think you would pick him ahead of Wes Brown on current form. You;re either brave, foolish or both!

C'mon..... I watch plenty La Liga and while I would prefer Lahm or Richards, I think I would start with Alves before Wes even if he had diarrhea and a cold and hair like Bakary Sagna.

lol red i know why people would laugh, but i just feel wes is more solid then dani alves better in the air and doesnt get caught out of position as much as alves would in england, i would have laughed at anyone who said that this time last year but i've become a real fan of wes looks to have matured along with rio on that right side of the defence dont you agree ? i do think alves would be great for us though for the reasons above

I read this article that Lucky posted and it got me thinking:
http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=702290

It's pretty clear Alves will leave but I don't think he will go to Chelsea anymore.
They just signed Bosingwa and have Ivanovic who can play there too as well as
1 or 2 others.
So where will Alves go?
A lot of United fans think we need a right back (I dont think we do personally)
and they have touted him as a possible replacement for Neville/Wes.

There is no doubting his quality. A lot of people seem to think he is the best rb
in the world, but maybe in the top 3-5 for me.

Also, it's pretty clear he will cost an arm and a leg......

So is he worth the hassle or not? To buy or not to buy? that is the question...

Daniel Alves would be a dream signing. It is a long time since Man United have signed a player who is already a worldwide superstar. But I think he will go to Barcelona.

I don't think we need a right back. A lot of fans are forgetting about Gary Neville, we haven't seen much of him lately because of his injuries, so how can we judge whether we need a new right back or not? I think that Wes Brown filled the right back position quite well this year, and he is one of four players that make up the best defence in the Premiership.

we should now definitely go for dani alves who is brilliant and is a good freekick, penalty taker and captain

please SAF buy him. one thing is he won't come on the cheap he will cost around £25-30 mil

we should bring him to england as chelsea won't need him now
not at that price way too much

Not worth the hassle. Not to buy

Hes over-priced and over-rated. He can't defend and is obviously not very loyal demanding a move every summer.

I can't believe as many people want him here.
