Silvestre is the best backup that we are going to have for Evra. It's just whether he will be happy with playing second fiddle that will decide whether he will be on his way to Bordeaux. Yes, he has been error prone in the past, but he has learnt well from his time at United and Fergie has held on to him for a reason.

Man Utd's Silvestre in Bordeaux talks

Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre is inching towards a deal with Laurent Blanc's Bordeaux.
The Telegraph says Silvestre will sign for Bordeaux on a four-year deal in the coming days.
