If we got Micah Richards ,Daniel Alves and Luis Fabiano then that would be a very successful Summer Transfer season as they are all what we are looking for. The hardest one to get will have to be Micah Richards as he is from Manchester City but i think 21 million will prise him away from our Rivals.Daniel Alves will be about 24 million but because of his dream of going to Barcelona it would be extremley hard to battle with Barcelona for Alves but if we did i think we would succeed as Barcelona have had a poor season and that might turn Alves off.
Luis Fabiano would cost about 7.5m and a swap with Saha would make Sevilla accept as they get money and Saha which to me would be good business. Luis Fabiano is a great finisher and quiet fast which would compliment Rooney and Tevez but the only bad thing is that one of them have to sit out on the bench and it is most likely to be Tevez.

Transfer news and speculation, 29 May

The Independent

West Bromwich striker Luke Moore has completed a £3m permanent move from Aston Villa on a three-year contract. The 22-year-old joined on loan in February and made three starts and seven substitute appearances. Moore, who has five England Under-21 caps, has signed a deal which will keep him at Albion until at least summer 2011. Kim Do-Heon, who was also on loan, has moved from Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma for £550,000. Goalkeeper Michal Danek has extended his loan from Victoria Plzen until 1 January and spending is set to rise to £6m by the end of the week when Roman Bednar completes his move from Hearts for £2.5m.

The Nice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris said he is prepared to listen to an offer from Spurs as well as Milan and Lyons. "Tottenham have a great project for the future with a very successful manager," the 21-year-old said. Spurs have allowed Radek Cerny to leave for Queen's Park Rangers and are looking for a goalkeeper. Reports in Spain have also linked the club with a bid for the Seville winger Diego Capel, although it has been suggested the tax involved in the deal would be a problem that needs resolving. Spurs are also still in the hunt for the Barcelona youngster Giovani dos Santos.

West Ham are confident of agreeing a new long-term deal with England striker Dean Ashton at the start of next week. He has two years left on his contract and although Newcastle, Portsmouth and Manchester United are all reported to be monitoring his progress, chief executive Scott Duxbury said: "The talks so far have been very positive."

Georgios Samaras is keen to win a permanent move to Parkhead, his agent said, after four months on loan from Manchester City. "Gordon [Strachan, the Celtic manager] wants to keep him and Georgios wants to stay," Samaras's agent, Lee Anderson said. "The player is clear in what he wants, but the problem is down to the confusion at City."

The president of Juventus, Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, is cautiously optimistic of reaching an agreement with Liverpool to sign Xabi Alonso. The Basque midfielder was one of Rafael Benitez's first signings when he took over at Anfield four years ago, arriving for £10.5m from Real Sociedad but has found his first-team opportunities limited with the arrival of Javier Mascherano and Lucas Leiva. And with Benitez still trying to tie up the move of England international midfielder Gareth Barry to Anfield, the departure of Alonso would not be a surprise. "It looks like his representative will arrive today," Gigli said. "We can't deny that we're interested, but there's always the problem of getting value for money."

Bafetimbi Gomis

Bafetimbi Gomis is a striker from a french club called AS Saint-Étienne. He scored two goals on his French debut and the only other person to do that is Zidane. From what i've seen from him, he is exactly what we we need as he is one of those players which Rooney and Tevez could play off of but he won't take away from great football we play as when Ruud Van Nistelrooy was here everyone looked to pass to him and most of the time he would score. But as Gomis is strong and quick he'll be a great addition to our great squad. He is also the same age as Rooney Ronaldo and Tevez
Here is the link to both of the goals when he play in the national friendlies and to add both of goals are great :

If we got this guy then i would be extremley happy as he would cost round 8.75 million and a is Superb player.

Transfer news and speculation, 30 and 31 May

the independent
Friday, 30 May 2008

Espanyol have turned down an offer from Liverpool for their Spanish international Albert Riera. The Reds are believed to have tabled an offer of around €12m (£9.5m), but that falls considerably short of the La Liga club's valuation. Riera enjoyed a successful loan spell at Manchester City in 2006, but has flourished since returning to his homeland. Xabi Alonso's move to Juventus, meanwhile, appeared to be drawing closer last night after the player's agent Inaki Ibañez was reported to have flown to Turin for discussions. Ibañez was reported to have agreed a four-year contract. Liverpool are believed to be asking for around £16m.

Arsenal yesterday maintained that reports of them signing Marseilles' midfielder Samir Nasri for £12.5m are premature. But the French international's arrival is likely to take place in the next couple of days, and could hasten the exit of Alexander Hleb, with Barcelona said to be preparing a bid – although Arsène Wenger maintains that Hleb will not be allowed to buy out the remaining two years of his contract. It is believed that Arsenal will make no formal announcement of Nasri's signing until all documents, including international clearance, are completed.

The former Czech Republic midfielder Patrik Berger has returned to his homeland after agreeing to leave Villa for Sparta Prague. The 34-year-old has signed a two-year deal with Sparta 13 years after leaving Slavia Prague. Berger has also played for Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Portsmouth and Stoke City.

The Nice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who had been linked with a move to Tottenham, said yesterday he was joining the French champions Lyons to replace the France No 1 Gregory Coupet, who is leaving the club after a decade. Lloris, 21, said: "I didn't hesitate for a second. There's no better place for me to keep improving."

Rangers have confirmed the sale of striker Filip Sebo to the French club Valenciennes for an undisclosed fee. The 24-year-old Slovakian enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Ligue 1 club, scoring four goals this season. Despite scoring only twice for Rangers in 33 games after moving from Austria Vienna in 2006 for £1.8m, Sebo became a cult figure at Ibrox due to his boundless enthusiasm.

Yesterday's completed moves:
Russel Martin (Wycombe) to Peterborough; Free
Wayne Carlisle (Exeter) to Torquay United; Free
Patrik Berger (Aston Villa) to Sparta Prague; Free
John McCombe (Hereford United) to Port Vale; Free
Colin Hawkins (Coventry City) to Brighton; Free
Filip Sebo (Rangers) to Valenciennes; Undisc

Spurs and Crystal Palace are set for a confrontation over a fee for John Bostock after the young midfielder agreed to a move across London to White Hart Lane. The 16-year-old has confirmed he will sign for Spurs and the Premier League club expect to register him at the end of next month, but a tribunal is likely to be needed to decide how much Palace receive in return. Bostock, who made his Palace debut against Watford in the Championship last October aged just 15, is expected to play for Spurs reserves next season. However, give a change in the rules to allow seven substitutes, he could feature for the first team.

Championship newcomers Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of striker Robert Earnshaw from neighbours Derby County for £2.65m. The Welsh international scored only twice in 25 appearances for the Rams last season after his arrival from Norwich for £3.5m last summer. He has signed a three-year contract with Forest, who won promotion after finishing second in League One.

Hannover have completed the signing of the Finland striker Mikael Forssell from the club on a free transfer. Forssell, who spent five years with Birmingham, has signed a three-year contract with the Bundesliga side.

Derby manager Paul Jewell has signed Nathan Ellington and Jordan Stewart from Watford. Ellington, 26, has signed on a year's loan, which will turn into a permanent move on a free transfer, while Stewart has signed a three-year deal.

Transfer News and Speculation 2, 3 June

The Macedonia striker Goran Pandev looks set to remain with Lazio despite claiming interest from Tottenham Hotspur The 24-year-old would have been seen as a replacement for Dimitar Berbatov were he to leave, but wants to stay in Serie A. "It is true Tottenham want me, but I intend to stay at Lazio," he said. Spurs feel they have missed out on Richard Dunne, believing the Manchester City defender would prefer a move to Portsmouth for personal reasons. They also feel competition for starting places could be a factor. A deal for Luka Modric has been completed, while John Bostock has agreed to sign from Crystal Palace.

Liverpool fans can breathe more easily this summer after the club's Spanish striker Fernando Torres says it will be "many years" before he considers leaving the club. "It is an honour to be linked to clubs like Barcelona, Chelsea or Arsenal but I am not thinking about a change and I want to continue playing for Liverpool for many years to come," he said. "It's been quite easy for me. I have been part of a team where a player can rely on the support of his team-mates. I have also worked with a manager who believed in me. It was the combination of these factors."

Newcastle United have agreed terms with the Turkish side Fenerbahce for the transfer of midfielder Emre. The Magpies have now given Fenerbahce permission to speak to Emre to discuss personal terms. The 27-year-old, who has failed to shine after joining in 2005, came to prominence after helping Turkey to third-place at the 2002 World Cup.

The West Ham forward Marlon Harewood is reportedly attracting attention from Craven Cottage, though Fulham manager Roy Hodgson may face competition from Stoke and Rangers. Hodgson is also considering an offer for Mark Bresciano, the Palermo midfielder who was an ever-present for Australia during the 2006 World Cup.

Rrangers is reported to be closing in on their former striker Kenny Miller, who joined Derby from Celtic in August last year. Miller's agent claims there have been enquiries from clubs "all over Europe" with Greek side Olympiakos linked with a bid. But rumours claiming Rangers will make a bid have lingered for months. Miller scored 11 goals in 38 games for Rangers and hit the same amount in 46 appearances for Celtic following a spell at Wolves. A large section of fans made their opposition to Miller's return clear during the Scottish Cup final at Hampden last weekend, but Miller declared himself open to an offer from Rangers following the 3-1 friendly defeat in Prague on Friday.

Michael Owen's representatives and those of Newcastle United will meet in a fortnight to discuss the striker's future as he enters the final season of his contract, writes Michael Walker. Should Owen be asked to take a pay cut then it is feasible he will reject the offer, which would leave manager Kevin Keegan looking increasingly isolated: there is discernible concern in the squad as to the club's direction this summer. With cutting wage levels a priority of the Mike Ashley regime, the exits of Emre Belozoglu, Stephen Carr, Peter Ramage have taken an annual £5m off the bill, but Owen's £115,000 per week salary is also being examined.

Premiership newcomers West Bromwich Albion have finalised the £2.3m signing of striker Roman Bednar from Hearts. The 25-year-old, who joined the Baggies last August and was an important part of Tony Mowbray's Championship-winning side, has signed a three-year contract.

The Barcelona forward Giovani Dos Santos looks set to sign for Tottenham later this week after the player's father revealed a move is close. Reports suggest the Mexican attacker will cost around €9m (£7.1m).

YESTERDAY'S COMPLETED MOVES
Guillaume Beuzelin (Hibernian) to Coventry ......... Free
Kris Commons (Nottingham Forest) to Derby C......... Free

Inter transfer consultant, Marco Branca, insists that Jose Mourinho will not be signing any strikers and thus he has closed the door on both Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto'o moving to San Siro.

Mourinho was unveiled to the press on Tuesday morning as he begins his new adventure with the Nerazzurri.

Reports in Italy claimed the former Porto coach would be getting rid of certain players to make room for some of his former Chelsea players to come in.

However, Branca admits that the Nerazzurri will not be buying a striker and so they have closed the door on Samuel Eto’o as well as Didier Drogba who have constantly been linked with a move to San Siro.

“Mourinho has not asked for any strikers,” said Branca.

“Those coming in will only be a few because we already have a great side.

“He has not asked us for any major signings and so it will be perhaps just two or three players.

“I think it will be better to for him to have everyone ready for the squad re-union.”

The advisor also confirmed that Inter will not be selling Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Christian Chivu and Mario Balotelli.

“If any one asks for these three players then we will tell them that they are not for sale,” said Branca.

The Nerazzurri will be hoping to achieve European glory next season and there is speculation that the ‘Special One’ will be keen on landing Frank Lampard from Chelsea as he tries to put together a strong enough squad which will all but gurantee him success on the European stage.
