I doubt he's going to come here as we're for sure not buying a holding midfielder.

We don't need him, although I heard somewhere that we have first refusal.

Our midfield is overcrowded already (not that that's a bad thing) so it's hard
to see where he would fit in. The money would be better spent on a striker
or to beef up the wings a little bit.

Anderson - Amazing talent, adjusted to the pace of the Premier League
instantly and plays well in the big games.

Carrick - One of my favourite players, his passing is second to none and
he breaks up a lot of attacks too with clever positioning.

Hargreaves - Combative midfielder, box to box, strong in the tackle, decent
passing and a good shot, great crosser of the ball too and freekick specialist.

    Scholes
    - usually pulls the strings in midfield and despite his tired legs he still
has a lot to offer us.

Fletcher - Needs to be more consistent with his performances but he's earned
us four points this season and I hope he carries on like that. He always seems
to up his game for the big games.

O'Shea - Great utility player, he'll always only be a backup to some of these
names but he does his job well when called upon.

Possebon - Calm, composed, good passer, breaks up attacks well, one for
the future for sure, exciting times ahead at Old Trafford.

everton, arsenal will benefit with him in the team.

dont mention liverpool, they need reinforcement everywhere in the field except for gerrard, torres, mascherano and skrtel

    Battle for £16m Portuguese star

Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are to go head to-head in a fight for £16million-rated Portugal star Miguel Veloso in January.
Arsene Wenger has been tracking the Sporting Lisbon midfielder for a year and considered a transfer window deadline-day bid, the News of the World claims.

The Gunners boss is understood to be ready to step up his interest in when the window opens again on New Year's Day but he faces competition from old rival Sir Alex Ferguson.

Veloso's representative Paulo Barbosa has revealed United and Arsenal are both scouting the player, who was also a Tottenham target this summer.

The versatile Portugal international, 22, can play as a defensive midfielder, centre-half or left-back.

    wouldn't be a bad signing
    adds depth and versatility
he can play LB, we are a bit short there CB or DM

    We don't need him
we have Carrick and Hargreaves in his position and both have more qualities
plus signing Veloso would decrease Possebon chances this season

He is the same kind of player as Owen Hargreaves so we definately don't need him...

im 99% sure this latest story of a january bid is bull****.

our midfield is packed as it is, and if SAF rates Possebon as highly as he says, then why would we sign veloso? it makes no sense

He looks to have potential for sure.

But the midfield is over-crowded, and I fail to see what we'd gain in signing him.

He would hardly play, or keep someone else out of the team, and would end up hampering the progress of other players (Possebon.)

And, tbh, this story is probably a load of crap anyway.
