    Pros
Would be willing to sit on the bench and wait for his chance
Has a proven record in England
    great finisher
Wouldn't interrupt Macheda and Welbecks development as much
They would also learn alot from him and his experience

For me the Pros outweigh the Cons. The wages are reported to be around 40k but someone just said it was going to be on a pay as you play deal.

Me too mate thats what i said
Also add in the fact it could leave us to add abit of lacking quality to our midfield

Has a proven record in England So? I'll bring up the name Robbie Fowler once again. He too is proven in England.
great finisher Not anymore he isn't.
Wouldn't interrupt Macheda and Welbecks development as much Without him they play a lot of games while being just as effective for the team as Owen would.
They would also learn alot from him and his experience This experience thing is overated. They are managed by Ole, they have Giggs and Scholes in the dressing room. Thats all they need.

i think even a crocked owen might score at least 12 goals in a season in an attack minded utd team , i am not sure welbeck or macheda could do that at this stage against top opponents . owen knows the areas to sniff around , its just a matter of his fitness thats all ,this is a tough one to call but im sure fergie is wise enough to make the right decision and i still think another striker will be coming even if we get owen .

    ahem!

53 Premier League games for the Magpies in almost four years, though he has notched 26 goals at a ratio of almost one every other game.
admittedly that was in March so he probably made about 10 more games since then, but still, despite being rushed back and in a shit team that's not shabby at all!

When we are linked with an unproven striker from say France, everyone is like "can't hack it in prem lolz, not proven, we need a proven goalscorer, etc etc."

    Make up your mind.

How can you be proven 3 years ago and not now? H

He was a world class striker a few years back, he is now an average player.

He is still proven. Or are you so ignorant you do not know what any word means? He had a good record with newcastle, where he played irregularry. He is a proven goalscorer. You can't be proven one minute and not the next.

He was great, and not now. Is what you mean.

I'd rather Macheda and Welbeck get playing time to develop but I
can't say he'd do a bad job for us.

And who said Owen has class? And even if he did, who cares? I'm
a classy player, if I do say so myself, but I don't think I'd get into
    many Premiership teams.
