    Lorik Cana is a great CDM with attitudes and mentality similar to our former captain Roy Keane.Plz Fergie go for him.
    Hard Man = Lorik Cana
    Playmaker = Anderson and Carrick

    Anderson has all the qualities to be our physical presence there but alas somehow he has been rather shy about it since his early promising displays against Fabregas and Gerrard.

    If he comes good, I don't think we need one.

    If he does not, we would need to have somebody to boss the central midfield. Our central midfield has quite often been struggling against better opposition and God knows how long ago was the last time we dominated against better sides in the middle of the park.

    Inter have big problems too in midfield, they're all way past their peak fitness.

    If it was and this is only if I was gaffer of United. I would be doing asbolutely everything in my power to try and lure Essien to United. It's a massive long shot but we have the money and he in my eyes is the best midfielder in the world right now. He has everything to his game. He is the closest thing that's around to Keano. He's real box-to-box type player.

    It's not only that but we need a player who can chip in with a few goals now this season considering the lose of Ronaldo. Anderson cannot do this as his shooting and finsihing are woeful. Regardless of Andersons potiential I am adamant we need a quality creative midfielder aswell.

    That is true too.

    See post #37 of Realistic Expectations For Next Season?

    It seems we do have the numbers in midfield but we are lacking slightly in top notch quality there.

    Yes that would be the issue mate. Look at the Cl Final or the real big games such as the clashes against Liverpool. We were destroyed in midfield totally and that's where we lost the battle. We need some quality, although that not saying we should sell anyone. Any one of our midfielders are good enough to play 25 games a year. However, we need to have some quality options for the real big games. Some one with that little bit extra. A guy who can cut the defnce up with a quality 'through ball'. A guy who can smack the ball from 30 yards and really trouble the keeper.

    Some one in the Lampard mould. What I would give for Fabregas at United.

    What's up with all this " Please Fergie, please sign so and so ", wake up man, he's not listening, damn...go post on goal.com or summin

    On a side note, i still believe Juventus's signing of Diego will be the best signing this summer...25 million euros is nothing for a player like him, wish he was United bound
