Chill out? Yeah, my response really showed anger didn't it...

Scholes and Keane, Scholes' attacking talent but Keanes ability to win the ball...
If that were the case he'd have moved away from Belgium before now.

Another story about Steven Defour. This time apparently United are interested, along with Arsenal. Ho hum. But wait, it's not really news because a move won't happen in January! Yes, The Sun have the scoop. He might move next summer. I can close my eyes again now. No need to get excited.

Utd and Arsenal face Def delay | The Sun |Sport|Football

"MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal have been told to forget about signing Standard Liege's £15million-rated midfielder Steven Defour, 21, in January.

But Paul Stefani, the player's agent, hinted at a summer move and said: "Of course Steven would be interested in coming to England in the future."

i've been to a few jupiler league matches, and i've seen defour play twice. he is a fantastic talent and a true box to box midfielder. i have to say that the one thing i haven't seen him do convincingly is shoot, but his passing and tackling are sublime

    He's back playing now.

Really do believe we are in the market for a powerful box-to-box midfielder. And in my eyes he's in that mould. Plus i don't think fergie would of sent him a get-well message if he didn't think the same.

Fletcher and Defour in a midfield 2 or a midfield 3 with a ball player (Scholes, Carrick, Gibson) would be very, very strong.

If not him, then Moussa Sissoko.

I love the way people always want to sign people who they've seen nothing more than youtube clips off, or 1 or 2 games at most...

or just because they're good on football manager, see a lot of noxiousd's posts. although he'll probably tell you that's got nothing to do with it and he actually has a season ticket for standard liege and travels there every week.

Its a shame Defour was injured for most of this season, he could have sealed a move the way Fellaini did in his last year, he'll be lucky to get a top club this year now, possibly Everton / Villa bound...

I have a feeling this could happen, an attacking midfielder is just what we need and Defour was apparently very pleased when he got the letter from Ferguson. Fingers crossed.

Keep the faith! i said the other day after Ferguson's interview that we'll sign an average/unknown midfielder this transfer window and make them into a superstar, id love Defour he have every aspect of a world class midfielder.

Defour would be great addition to the squad. He can play as MC, AMC and DMC, very similar to Scholesy. He's 22, wouldn't cost much, maybe in the region of 10-12m, definitely worth going for his signature, plus Fergie has been interested in him for some time.
