To be fair to all the people who laughed at Abo's comment here; they are both different players. Put Gerrard in Lampard's position and he's particulary average (to Gerrard/Lampard standards) - the same vice versa. In the United team, I'd prefer Lampard alongisde Fletcher, than Gerrard. However, if we're talking for a Rooney-type in-the-hole player, the Gerrard wins every time.

There's hardly much between them. Both can pick a shot too.

versatile, talented, creative, would be perfect for us! we need a modric type of player atm, and it's him I'd choose first.

@Abo, there's humourous --> funny ---> slightly irritating -----> too far AND THEN, you. You are seriously obsessed with Berbatov, if you actually weren't so prejudiced against him, took a look at some this years games WITH him, you'd see how much better. remember that (your words) "******* genius" goal v Wigan? remember the month of October? even if you don't, it's about time you grew up and actually posted something decent, because we all know you can do it, but you don't do it often enough.

what does the bold bit remind you of btw?

It's funny, that in seasons gone by people (unsure if it's yourself, but it probably was. Let's pretend it was anyway for arguments sake) criticise Rooney for having a good October, and is rather sub-standard for the rest of the season. Yet, Berbatov has a higher-than-average October (let's be honest, it wasn't magnificent - one great game, one good game); and you're making it out like some lovechild from the heavens.

it wasn't me... I've only been here since January?

It doesn't sound like me really, but it could still be a criticism against anyone anyway (including The Berb), but Berbatov's overall play has been good this season

Ashley Young. Brilliant winger would replace that piece of **** we have on the left wing at the moment. And also Torres and Fabregas. They are my top 3!

    jog on.

Lampard = one of the most overrated players in the world. (before the stupids attack me for this, my comment doesn't mean he isn't a good player.)

Essien is basically God and all, but we're in need of a different type of player. We have Fletcher, Anderson and Hargreaves when fit who can play the box-to-box role or defensive mid very well. Whereas we don't have a major goalscorer, and lack a top class attacking midfielder. Left wing, too, but there isn't a world class left winger in the PL.

Agreed, as good as Essien is we would only be strengthening an area where we pretty well suited. Unfortunately i dont think there is anyone in the Premiership i would take for the positions we are severly lacking in ( attacking mid and left winger) - I suppose Fabregas could fit into the Attacking Midfield role quite smoothly as he does have the ability to score goals, make runs, quick passing and still has his whole career infront of him. So for me yeah, probably Fabregas.
