great thread RFR. You put in a lot of work mate.
Not sure about 7/10 for Berbatov. For me he is THE man to get.
Always rated him and he would bring something to the team like
Cantona did. Since we are European champions who wouldnt want to
come play for United? A lot of players that may not have wanted to come
before may want a shot at the big time now.
We could nearly have our pick and whoever we sign will get their fare share
of games as well. United are in a great spot here.

My top choices would be benzema or adriano, benzema is an obvious one, but every going out about adriano doesn't seem to follow world football. He is back fit again and is back in form, he is still only young and with his pace pwer and finishing could be the ideal player.

Good call with Adriano, but he would arrive with a bit of baggage and would
be a risk for sure. If we could get him on the cheap then it's a possibility, but
if he is 10/15 million or more then I wouldn't go near him.
benzema as you mentioned Ryder is probably the ideal player to get, bearing
in mind he is only 20 or so, and all the physical attributes he has in his locker.
He said he wasn't going to leave Lyon for next season and if he did he would
go to Spain or Italy, so I doubt it would be a realistic prospect......
2 very interesting players but Berba is still the man for me

I do agree to some degree with adriano but a few years ago he was amazing if we could get him for around 10 million a change of club could be all he needs to come good again. He is one of the most physical strikers i have ever seen, perhaps even more powerful than drogba and has the pace and skill to fit in with united.

Is being amazing 'a few years ago' what we really want at the club?
If anyone can get the best from him it's Fergie but it's still a big gamble imo.
But you are right about the attributes he has/once had.....
I know he has been in great form recently but that has been in a worse league...
Another thing he has is a bullet of a shot. I cant think of many if any
players who can hit a ball so hard.
I'm not convinced by him really, but it's certainly something for Fergie to contemplate.

i see more people are mentioning adriano after i made a thread about him

but seriously, i tink benzema is number 1, but that won't likely happen, i'd like adriano as number 2, but that won't happen, so i would like either berbatov or gomez.

i don't want huntellar though, he would slow our attack up like RVN did, our game is about movement up top and he would limit that.

i wouldn't mind faiano though, even if he is overrated.

I know what you mean but some players go through bad spells, he is still pretty young and even though he has had troubled times he still has a cracking goal scoring record at club and international level. He could be a simualr one to paul mcgrath once his act was cleaned up he went back to the superb player he once was.

Yeah but Ruud scored 150 goals for United.......so......
As for Huntelaar, I think he is classy and he is a finisher of supreme abilities,
which is what we need. We need a striker who will get 20+ goals a season
every season and he could be the man.....
True he is a bit slower than what would be ideal but still he is a lethal finisher.
I know youtube can make Titus Bramble look good, but you HAVE to check out
this video on Huntelaar. It will sicken you, it's that incredible:

Enjoy!!
