Man Utd launch stunning £15M bid for Porto fullback Bosingwa

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is eyeing Porto fullback Jose Bosingwa
for the summer market.

The News of the World says United have lined up a £15million summer swoop for
Bosingwa.

The Portugal international has been watched five times by United scouts in recent
weeks and Porto say he can go “if we receive an enormous amount of money.”

United hope the influence of assistant boss Carlos Quieroz will seal the deal for
Bosingwa, 25, who is famed for his pace and crossing ability.

Bosingwa said: “Being linked with United is a positive thing as it means I am
performing well.

“United are a sensational club.

“To play next to Cristiano Ronaldo, Anderson and Nani is such a big advantage.

“But until the end of the season I think only of Porto. I want to fight for the
Champions League.” www.thesoccerblog.com

I don't believe we're going to sign any defenders this summer. Brown signed a contract recently, so we have him and the regulars for a few more years at least. So we'll have Pique, Simmo, and Fabio and Rafael at cover as well as there for the future. In the middle, the only people who I see as potentially being in trouble are Carrick and Fletcher. With the new influx of talent, and the supposed summer signing of Augusto, those two might not be safe. And at striker, as we all know Saha might not be safe. It is unfortunate, because if he was fit, him, Roovez, and Manucho would be incredible. Unfortunately, he isn't fit, and he isn't scoring, so we might sell him. Huntelaar should work. He's on fire right now, scoring another 2 today.
