| Diego Capel Dunno if anybody follows La Liga on here but i was watching Sevilla (My Spanish Team) vs Barcelona last night and their left winger Diego Capel really had an outstanding game. He's only 19 and obviously isnt the finished article yet, but i think he's someone I could see easily slotting into the Man Utd team as he's very much of the Old Giggs/Kanchelskis type mould. Not to mention he obviously has an eye for getting in the box as well having scored last night.
Maybe he's someone Fergie should send the scouts to watch. |

| Carrick will not leave, I'd put my house on that.
players i hope will go:
ji-sung park - he's an ok player but definately not good enough to be a back-up for ronaldo/giggs/nani, he's far too weak - just gets bullied by defenders, defenders just lean against him and he goes down
fletcher - to tottenham? i think they were interested in him a while ago
saha
dong
silvestre
kuszczak however you spell it
I'm not convinced Man Utd need anyone, I've heard big things about Manucho and if he's as good as he's hyped up to be then there's no need for another striker, he's 6"2 and amazing in the air which adds another dimension given rooney and tevez are on the short side.
although extremely unlikely, i'd love to see micah richards come to utd as neville's long term replacement. |

Taking this a stage further - who do you replace these players with if they were released/sold? You want shut of these players and then you say United do not need anybody else - contradiction - who would you replace them with? |

| park - nani and ronaldo can play right & left, giggs on the left, and if need be Chris Eagles isn't too bad.
fletcher - we already have anderson, scholes, hargreaves and carrick.
saha - manucho, possibly welbeck.
fangzhuo - doesnt need replacing as he never plays anyway, but as above.
silvestre - 2 full backs coming in from brazil, o shea can play on the left too.
kuszczak - ben foster will be fit soon. |

#47 | | World Cup Winner | Park is a good player, he's just come back from injury so give him a chance.
Fletcher is a squad man, if he's happy to stay at the club and fill in when needed we'd be stupid to let him go.
Saha is awesome when fit but he's never fit so I'd agree with you on that one.
Dong - I can't defend this kid, he's truly awful.
Silvestre is a great defender, he's been out with a broken shoulder I belivee. He can play left back OR central defence so he's good cover for both positions. Plus the Brazilian twins are unlikely to be first team players straight away.
Kuszczak should stay just because every team needs three keepers. If we didn't have him, who would cover for Van der Sar when he's injured? Foster has been out for a while and when Van der Sar broke his nose we'd have been stuck with no keeper except maybe a youth one. |

| Gotta agree with Zuco there (for a change!)
Is Cristiano unaware that next season may well be Gigg's last? Getting rid of Park would be even more foolhardy then, wouldn't it?
I can't understand all the calls for a new right-back on this thread. we've still got Wes, Danny Simpson has bags of promise, O'Shea can also do a decent job there, and (who knows) Neville may still come back and have a couple of years in him, and that's not taking into account the young Brazilian.
Next year Silvestre will be able to cover left-back if needed and in addition again we have Simpson who has played there in the past and the Brazilian (don't think O'Shea's much cop on the left for some reason, but would do in an emergency). Perhaps a case could be made for a new one if there were a good player out there for not too much money, but I'm not worried about it.
As for what anyone at United ever saw in Dong, I'll never know... So perhaps a new striker...
But then there's Manucho (if he gets a work permit) and Welbeck, and Campbell coming back from his loan. Do we need to buy ANYONE in the summer?

| Park is a good player, but as I've said, he's far far too weak, it cancels his skill out. Defenders just lean against him and he goes down.
Fair enough for Fletcher, providing he's happy to be 5th choice.
silvestre... meh i agree with you actually
Kuszczak i agree but will he be happy with 3rd choice keeper? as Foster is better. |

| with manucho going, we will have 4 strikers or even five if welbeck can make the break through
3 goalkeepers, just nice
danny simpson, gary neville as right back, brown, oshea and silvestre can play at least 2 positions. got our main centre backs in vidic and ferdinand, with evans and pique coming through, and evra as left back, so basically our defence shld do all right
ronaldo, giggs, nani, park, eagles as wingers, with giggs used sparingly next season, our wingers will be there for yrs. anderson, carrick, fletcher, scholes, hargreaves, our midfield can be full of energy, creative, or rock solid depends how u fit these five into 2 midfield position.
i can only say we do not nid anybody else in the squad, not at least for next season, unless fergie finds someone who he cannot afford to watch play for another team, like the case with rooney, the squad is all set
