People are talking about him cos he scored against United,
but in all honesty he was crap today. The goal he scored
was a gift due to poor defending and only a really poor
striker would have missed from there. Good striker yes
but in my opinion he isn't good enough for us.

Not even good enough for United as a squad player that we are able to count onto during Rooney/Tevez's absence?

Yes good squad player, but we shouldn't be looking for just squad players
in the Summer, we should be looking for a main striker who can play with
Rooney or Tevez week in week out.

Well, I do believe he has the capabilities of playing upfront with both Rooney & Tevez week-in, week-out. None of the players from our current United squad has a better killer instinct infront of goal than Roque Santa Cruz. If he could amassed 20 goals in 40 club appearances with Blackburn Rovers, imagine how many strikes would he add to his name with the great quality supply of crosses to him @ OT? Moreover, it's his very first season in England mind you. He will deffo' improve gradually as he accustomed himself more to the game here IMO!

How many strikers have hit 20 in a season but been crap after moving to a better
team? Darren Bent scored 20 most seasons with Charlton, but when he moved to
Spurs with better quality players around him, he doesn't look like the same player
anymore. Plus there are a lot who have a great first season, then gradually get
worse as defenders get to know what they are about. Look at Elano, I know he
isn't a striker but he had an amazing few months at Man Ciddeh until he
got 'found out'. Defenders now know how to put the shackles on him and now he
looks absolute crap. Santa Cruz might well be a success at United, but considering
Fergie has never once mentioned him as a possible target and neither have any
of the newspapers, talking about him on here as a transfer target is quite pointless.
