why was fergy at the everton and blackburn game, could he be talking to incey about the suprise transfer for santa cruz. I dont know about this, sanat did well last season but can he improve last season at united? I would prefer berba but would people have second thoughts if santa cruz was playing for tottenham and did what he did last season for tottenham? I like berba because he got goals last season and he will no doubt give assists/ creativity and berba is a player that can put a goal on rooney and tevezs plate and you know when rooney or tevez get a good opertunity they will finish.

I am 70% berbe and 30% santa

Ince: My stars are staying
16 August 2008
Blackburn boss Paul Ince says there will be no more big-name departures from The Premier League club.

Ince was introduced to the rollercoaster ride of top-flight management with a thrilling 3-2 win over Everton.

Roque Santa Cruz was amongst the goalscorers for Blackburn and he is one of the players who is being linked with a move away from the Lancashire club before the transfer window closes.

David Bentley has already signed for Tottenham, but Ince has now re-affirmed his desire to keep the likes of Benni McCarthy, Stephen Warnock and Santa Cruz.

"I do not want to keep saying this, but nobody is going to be leaving the club,” Ince said.

"We want to keep our best players, be it Santa Cruz, Warnock or McCarthy and any one of a dozen players.

"Let's dispel all this. No-one is leaving the club, we have had a really good start in this game.

"We have won at Everton and not many teams do that apart from the top four. It was a great achievement."

He's not young, he is as old as Berbatov, will cost 10-15million and has none of the genius of Berbatov. Just a decent finisher. Not even on the same level as Rooney and Tevez, or even Berbatov. Also, whoever said he didn't get his chances at Bayern, he played 150 games for them, and scored 31 times. Although admittedly his record for Blackburn is alot better, 20 in 37 games. Still, none of his goals were brilliant, only simple headers or simple finishes. No 30 yard strikes. No diving headers. No dazzling runs. No magic. He is a mid-table player and that is his level where he succeeds. He won't cut it at United's level.
