Just after watching Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Harold and Kumar go to Guantanamo Bay and Zach and Miri made a Porno. Loved all 3 of them
Inglorious Basterds.
******* fantastic, now my favourite Tarantino film ahead of True Romance and Pulp Fiction. Brilliant, genius, any other superlative you can think of. Brad Pitt is awesome, as is Michael Fassbender and the gay love of Hitler by Goebbels is wonderful.
Just saw Shutter Island. What a ******* film. Completely unbelievable. With Scorsese involved it was always going to be
the invention of lying ---turned off at 40 min mark --life is too short for shit films and this stunk the place out ---ricky gervais is about as funny as a burning orphanage .
zombieland --- really enjoyed it
I really wanted to see the invention of lying, is it bad haggs? hmm, such a let down.
I saw "Green Zone" yesterday and it's a very good movie that I found engaging from start to finish. If I had to give you the pitch it's like The Hurt Locker meets Black Hawk Down, with a touch of Lions for Lambs and Syriana thrown in. By that I mean it's a story set in Iraq, primarily focusing on the soldiers' experience on the frontline (like The Hurt Locker). But many of the scenes, including aerial shots from helicopters, reminded me of Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down (although that was set in Somalia). For the Lions for Lambs and Syriana comparison, it's really because Green Zone is much more about the philosophical debate of why the war in Iraq is being fought, and actually comes out and argues that the intelligence pointing to WMDs (Weapons of Mass Destruction) being found in Iraq was entirely fabricated by a Washington group who needed the war to go ahead. So quite subversive really, as mainstream cinema goes, even if it's probably in line with most anti-war sentiment. Matt Damon is good, Greg Kinnear plays the manipulative US suit on the ground in Baghdad, with Brendan Gleeson the excellent cynical CIA operative who understands what's really going on. Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon combined on the last two Bourne movies, and the clever marketing of Green Zone makes out like this is the next installment! It's far grittier, Matt Damon doesn't have any memory problems, but it's pretty gripping all the same. I'd recommend it if you can take some political discourse mixed in with your action.

Thanks for that! A few of my mates and I are heading in to Swansea tomorrow, and we'll probably be watching that. Thanks!
I'm Here, 30 minute short by Spike Jonze.
Im actually in love with this film, there was no flaw its the perfect short. Because of some stupid website thing you have to wait for a few hours to be one of the lucky 1000 people who gets to watch it, but it was more than worth it. Jonze creates a perfect world where two Robots living in a human world fall in love.
Its emotive, emotional beautifully shot and perfectly scripted.
I love this film.
I'M HERE ? A LOVE STORY IN AN ABSOLUT WORLD
Watched Green Zone today, great film, I think it's got a good mix of intellectual issues being raised, and exciting action. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
"Choke", adapted from Chuck Palahniuk's novel, starring the excellent Sam Rockwell. Definitely worth watching, even though it hasn't got the same following as "Fight Club", you get all the same dysfunction with the lead character!
Choke (2008)
Finished watching "the Heavy" the other day. Cracking film! must watch. Especially if you like the Lock stock, snatch type films. The trailer will speak louder then my words.
The Heavy (2010)
