The World and Great places to visit!

Something on a lighter note than alot of the posts that have been made in this section but i think i have posted it up in the right section since under 'world affairs' its says "Discuss what is going on on our planet. Learn about foreign places, news etc."

Anyway I am sure there are loads of people on this board who like me love to travel and visit different countries and experience different cultures. In my opinion it helps your growth as a person and i think its great fun too.

Anyway the purpose of this thread is too just basically name countries you have either visited and what was great about them and what you would reccommend for people to do if they ever go there or of countries you wish to visit and why...such as certain attractions you wish to visit!

I am sure we'll all learn something about somewhere we never knew of before!

Anyway i will start since i made the thread but hopefully everyone contributes and like we may find new places that we may want to visit in the future!

Anyway...

1 - Canada - Huge, very clean and beautiful. the people are friendly! Anyone who ever visits this country needs to go visit Niagra falls, one of the wonders the world and the way it is presented is amazing. They have basically made a little tourist town to go along with the main attraction so tourists can go out and have fun and its really amazing. The atmosphere is great and everyone is there pretty much for the same reason. Looking at the Niagra falls presentation at night is amazing with the fireworks and lighting presentation and if you have a gf; like paris, taking a girl to Niagra for a weekend (if you're close by,lol) would be amazing! Seriously i reccomend this place to anyone!

Anyway i have visited many states in america and been to germany, france and a couple of other countries that i will write about if anyone else does not, but now you all know how it works! Write about places you would like to go see aswell but like this post was just so you get the idea of what this thread is about!

pz!

I have family in Toronto and I have been to Niagara Falls and it really is breath
-taking !! The noise from the falls, the power of the water is incredible when you
go on "The Maid Of The Mist" (The boat they take you in - right up to the falls) -
quite scary too

There is a bridge you can walk across too - it takes you to the border with USA.
Oh God so funny - we went across and handed our passports in for them to be
checked. They see "Romania" on the front and they don't know where this is
FFS !! Do they actually study geography in the USA ? At which point I
MUST introduce Miss South Carolina ...

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww

Map reading seems to be a challenge for them, - could be a reason they keep
blowing up the British in Iraq but thats a whole different issue !

Anyway ... after 1 hour they told us we were not allowed in the USA at that
present time - and we would need to proceed back across the bridge the way we
came - thank God for US bordermen, we would have never worked that one out -
peasants !!

So there you have it ... go to see Niagara - it's truly beautiful - and if your
Romanian, forget the USA, it takes four days for them to find anywhere on a map
FFS !!!

I was in Sydney in December of 2005, and it is a beautiful place to be. Did some sightseeing and took some incredible pictures. If you're looking at the city at night, it's an incredible sight.

Nice thread OG....

Places that Ive been that I would hugely recommend are the islands in
Thailand, so beautiful and if you like to party, this is the place to be.
Go to Koh Pha-Ngan if you get a chance ;-)

San Fran, California, Lake Tahoe---all in the state of Cali.
All amazing, lots to do and see, with some great weather to boot.

Las Vegas-nuff said. :-)

Barcelona-Best city Ive ever been to.

Berlin is great for a laugh-great food and beer and mental people.

Always loved the French coast. me mammy is French so Ive been over a lot.

Weren't Canada in the news today for killings seals brutally?

Not sure that fits in here really but Canada are pretty extreme when it comes to animal cruelty.

Other than that i'm sure its a beautiful country, though i haven't been there, yet.

Never been to thailand but it seems a popular tourist destination these days! Yeah i like the party scene aslong as they aint too many knooobs around and i know a cute girl who knows loads about thialand and was talking about taking me to Koh Pha-Ngan and 2 other places there which i have never heard of before, lol. Will have to read more about this place, so many people speak of it.

Speakin of Cali, i was in LA last summer as part of my crazy summer, i loved it. The weather, hollywood,lol...imo hollywood is overrated though...they probably gloss it up for the oscars and stuff but not as pretty as i would have imagined...loads to do though and the food at restaurants!!...The Dishes are huge!...cannot complain though, lol

Las Vegas is awesome!....I spent like 4-5 days during a week there just going from hotels to hotels and shows and stuff! crazy place and abnormally warm...it is a desert after all,lol

Been paris a few times but nowhere else in france, though i do love paris!

Berlin is one of the most beautiful cities i have ever been too...Great ppl, nice food, amazing differences in how they display the city, like big building and greenery and can be toured with a hired bike! awesome!lol I spent a year in germany so i've seen many cities there but yeah, Berlin is quality, real artistic and expressionist of a city. Historically interesting too.

barcelona...NEVER BEEN!! :-(.....one day though, i can only imagine this city being soo kool! The culture, it must be like a party all night and beach chillin all day in barca,lol....i plan to visit sometime

pz!!
