Ryan Giggs believes being a Manchester United player is not just about winning, but how you react to defeats.
The evergreen winger is the most decorated footballer in English football history, so he knows a thing or two about responding in style. And he’s hoping he and his team mates can overcome the agony of going out of the Champions League by responding in the United way.
“Learning from your disappointments is what being a Manchester United player is all about, Giggs told The Mirror.
“Obviously I have had a lot of success in the game.
“You don’t want to ever feel that way again. It really can help you in the long run if you take it the right way by trying to improve and do something about it.
“The defeat against Bayern in the Champions League was one of those nights.”
“It’s how you come back from those disappointments that make you a Manchester United player.”
