On the 11th of April Manchester United travelled to Wigan for a match that many including myself thought was an easy three points - we all know what happened, Wigan put in a fantastic display and won the game convincingly and gained a well deserved 3 points
Fast forward a few days later and Wigan travel to Arsenal, many thought Wigan’s performance against United was a one off and surely couldn’t be repeated; however Wigan again put on another great display and ran out 2-1 winners.
Now let’s study the post match interviews - can anyone spot the difference?
A few quotes from Sir Alex Ferguson
Now let’s see how bitter Arsenal reacted to their defeat – here are a few quotes from Arsene Wenger
Where is the praise for the opposition, show some class guys
Van Persie - Gary Caldwell attempted to shake hands with Van Persie at the final whistle, Van Persie pushed it away and walked off the pitch
Arsene Wenger - Left without shaking hands with Martinez because he couldn’t be bothered to wait for Martinez to finish congratulating his coaching staff first
Neither the Arsenal manager or captain came out of this with much credit - show some class, accept you were beaten on the night and praise the opposition – it’s always the same when Arsenal lose
Arsenal Fans - Can you spot the difference?
