Nani - I'll score more goals this season

Following the departure of one Portuguese winger, another is keen to step up and prove his worth to the team in the upcoming season.

Luis Nani has endured a mixed time at United. He was thrown in at the deep end in his first season, our league campaign stuttered, but he shrugged off the pressure and earned us our first win with a 25 yard cracker against Tottenham Hotspur. He was a regular all through the season and finished with an impressive 14 assists. A good return for any winger.

His second season was quite the opposite. He struggled to get in the first team, especially in the league and Champions League. Sir Alex preferring instead to use him for cup games. He was out of the team for extended periods, meaning that when he was brought in he was most likely far from being match fit and thus struggled to make an impact.

This season he intends to put that right.
He has attracted contrasting opinions among many fans, with the majority criticizing him for his poor performances. Hopefully he'll be given more chances this season and he can prove a lot of people wrong in what could be a make or break year for him.

i don't care about nani scoring more goals or scoring fabulous goals- i do however care about him playing well and creating chances for other players and playing havoc with the opposition defence on a regular basis with the odd goal thrown in here and there.
with his skill level he could be amazing but he needs more consistency and he needs to learn when to play and when to do the simple things instead.
the guy also (just like ronaldo when he arrived) learn that the english game is physical, hard and fast and once he starts to accept that he might flourish.
