The boys are back in town

Arsenal arrive at Old Trafford for the FA cup quarter final against Manchester United, “Men against boys”, the famous quote from Patrice Evra over the last couple of seasons, but with both teams suffering from a few injuries to key players both managers could field “weaker” teams than normal, even the bookies are finding this one hard to judge, check out BetUS sportsbook for the latest odds.

Both teams have been stuttering over the last few weeks and United will be without Ji-Sun Park, Antonio Valencia and Nani which leaves us with very little width and creativity, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs tend to get overrun in midfield these days so we can expect United to pack the midfield, I suspect Darren Fletcher, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Michael Carrick and Darren Gibson will make up a midfield five with Fletcher and Giggs on the Wings. Arsenal also have their far share of problems so it remains to be seen what formation/personnel Arsene Wenger will put out.

Will tomorrow’s game effect the title race? It’s hard to say, its been a tough old week for Fergie and his boys , I could be completely wrong about my line-up predictions, both managers could rest many of their first team squad , however another defeat for Arsenal could be the final nail in the coffin for their season, on the other hand a defeat for United would be our third in a row so it’s all very finely balanced.

Having said all that we have a very good recent record over Arsenal recently, they haven’t beaten us since November 2008, in the six games played since our last Arsenal defeat with have won five and drawn 1 which gives us the psychological edge going into this game and the upcoming Premier league match at the Emirates.

I predict the match tomorrow will end in a disappointing 1-1 draw, when I say disappointing I mean that neither team will want a replay or extra fixture.

I can't see it being a 'weak' side from either team. United will be desperate to get back to winning ways and will be expected to do so at home. On the other hand, Arsenal aren't convincing everyone in the League and after being knocked out of two cup competitions in quick succession, I think they'll be 'Gunning' to get one over United because, I think, the winner of this game will win the Cup. Maybe it's a silly thing to say, but in all honesty, there's not many big obstacles left bar City but God knows what they'll do.

In terms of the bookies, I can't call it either way. If I was going to lump on I'd go for United on a DNB basis. I don't think Arsenal will be able to win, but can easily see them dragging United down South to add to the ridiculously congested fixture list.
