I don't know what all the fuss is about. He's clearly over-rated. One tricky pony and if he gets man marked by rubbish Robbie Savage then im easily proved right. I don't have to watch those goals to know he wont get that time and space on the ball in the premiership and besides the keepers are better in the PL and they would of saved majority of his goals this season. The Championship is an easy league with rubbish players. Blackpool, Hull City, etc who came and did well are lucky. I can't wait til next season to get proven right that Taarabt is extremely over-rated. And even if he does well i'll find an excuse why he did well, or maybe not come on this forum for a while til my embaressment is over. Or claim this conversation didnt take place. Taarabt is rubbish. Get rid of this topic, he's found his level, he's 22 and past it. Pointless thread.
No one was saying he is a bad player. They just claimed Neymar is better. And also raised concerns about his attitude. And also disputed the fact that you said the Championship is level with Ligue 1. He is clearly a hugely talented player. I cant comment on Neymar btw as I've never saw him play. My personal opinion though is that Taarabt wouldn't fit in at United. 2 good goals today. 1st one in particular
I didn't say the Championship was level with Ligue 1. I said it's close. But, i was wrong. I'm finally backing down to people on here because i don't wanna get laughed at anymore. Hurts my feelings. I would rather jump on the bandwagon with the comfy seats. Taarabt wont make it, his reputation isn't high enough and he isn't getting branded about for 30m like the others. And his dribbling stat on Football manager is only 14. About right to be honest. Was his goals good? doesn't matter. 18 goals and how many assists he's got doesn't matter til his does it in the prem!
All of the points you made out of sarcasm are right so thanks for making my argument for me. Hull made a lot of Premier League experienced players in and it helped them while teams underestimated them. Blackpool just thought **** it and went all out and did well. He won't get an inch of space in the big games and it'll hurt QPR because he'd be giving the ball away and just throwing tantrums.
Has anyone noticed how well he passes the ball when he stops the tricks etc? He's such a good passer of the ball. He can ping a 40 yard to feet and do quality through balls. He also beat a man with skill and strength. Shoot and finish well. Added to that the stats don't lie. 18 goals and 20 odds assists. Not bad for a player who practically gets man-marked every game. He won't get man-marked that often in the premiership like Savage said. But even so, he's over-rated.
Of course he will because that's how you stop QPR's threat, and it'll be to a better extent. Even so, he's better than Neymar and plays in the world's best league.
We both agree that Taarabt is over-rated mate. The Premiership teams arn't going to be worried by an average player and alter their own tactics because of him, ARE THEY. They'll trust each other to flush the rubbish out. Not many teams do man-mark. Neymar? I think ive heard of him, meant to be quality! Taarabt's not that good.
He is a stone and a half overweight ---given a proper training regime and guidance from the likes of scholes and giggs he could be special ---if you think i am wrong about his fitness check his pic on page 15 of the suns goals pull out today .

to be the size he is at this stage of the season shows either a liking for couscous or poor attitude to training
Taarabt is never going to be that lean or walcott quick. But what Taarabt has is strength. Bit like Anderson, Rooney. All look a touch over weight at times but they are very strong players. Taarabt has amazing skills and creativity but he can also barge off 2/3 players at a time. He does it regularly. As soon as this lad matures. say 24/25 roughly then he is going to be a top class playmaker. Maybe not in England, but definately in Spain or Italy. I just think he's come to England way to early but in the end it could end up make him better. The Championship would of taught him alot, mentally if nothing else.
