How the f**k Juve and Milan didn't sign him yet? Milan are so average and they need a player to take them to the next level, Berba is no Ibra, but at least he can close up the game Ibra left.

it'll be more reasonable for Juve to at least show some interest towards Berba, since they're lacking upfront

Yeah, and Berbatov is cheaper than most of their targets, Cavani, Llorente, Dzeko etc...

    Is 3M about £60k a week?

I don't think there's that many positions available right now. Most clubs don't need a striker - especially not one who is on fairly big wages.

Although, it does surprise me that Milan aren't interested. Maybe they're looking for younger players?

    yep, it is - which is why I'm flabbergasted. Even if he gets say, a 3 year deal, that's €9m + 6.4/5 m (fee in €) - total outlay over 3 years = ~ €15m

Really shocked Milan aren't in for him, not so much Juve, but who knows - apparently Allegri's gone to Galliani and said he wants 5 players, how many he gets i another thing but then I've read reports they'll sign Borriello as the CF :)facepalm:) for backup rather than to start.

He must be a disappointed man today. You have to feel for him.

    http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/footba...et-to-leave-man-united-for-russian-club-zenit

Russian champions Zenit St Petersburg are ready to open talks with Manchester United over a deal for Dimitar Berbatov.

The 31-year-old Bulgaria hitman has been told he can leave United this summer after falling down the pecking order, a problem that is set to be exacerbated by the imminent arrival of Robin van Persie from Arsenal.

Berbatov, who moved to Old Trafford from Tottenham for £30m in 2008, is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League - having bagged 75 goals in 178 appearances shared between both clubs and has had no shortage of offers.

AC Milan, Juventus, Galatasaray and English duo QPR and West Ham have all been linked with moves for the player, along with former club Bayer Leverkusen.

But his hefty £110,000-a-week wages have proved to be a stumbling block.

However, wealthy Russian club Zenit are willing to pick up the tab to sign Berbatov after making him their top target.

Zenit have already informed United they want to open formal negotiations over a deal as soon as possible, and while they are uncomfortable with handing over a fee they are confident they can get their man.

But they are all younger.... with 30+ players are labeled "old" these days. And you can´t ignore the fact that he hasn´t played much in the past 15 months. Looking back he should have left last summer, when some clubs still showed interest. Now he is somehow forgotten.

We'll have to loan him out. At this point, even in the cups he'd be on the bench.

That's football. Will probably be our main priority this transfer window now, to get rid of him.

As per Daily Mail, "Zenit are not keen on Dimitar Berbatov" and launched a bid for Nani instead. This may well be his and our last hope as transfer talks concerning him is so hard to come by. It is inconceivable that we are unable to offload and may be having our most expensive signing not even on the bench this season.

I can't imagine how he must be feeling with no interested party and opportunity to play football....

I have probably said it before in bizzare twist of fate we will end up with RVP - Berbatov partnership

    how would that work?

When Real wants to get rid of players they know how to do it: they give the shirt number to someone else and the player then has to look for new options. Not that I like that way but why register a player who is obviously not in the plans?
