drogba's was more in the 'time wasting' bracket (just being a wise old pro)... whereas busquets was more in
the 'i need to get someone sent off, and sent off early!' bracket

anyway... that result for chelsea last night should be good for us. hopefully they can go and 'do' city with this
new found confidence

Same could be said about the english teams in Italy. Shame that clubs like Benfica, Marseille and APOEL still are in the tournament. Would have been better with Inter, Napoli and Arsenal than those three.

They're there because they deserve to be there, it's the luck of the draw and they've done all that's asked of them.

Hopefully we see something like this in the next round:

Real Madrid - Barcelona
Chelsea - Bayern
APOEL - Benfica
Ac Milan - OM

I'd hate it to see a Barca-Real Bayern, HATE IT.

But, we didn't see John Terry or RVP vowing to shoot down the Italians in the pre match press conference, unlike the other 2 players I mentioned.

Watch Chelsea get Barcelona in the next round, I think them or Real Madrid. Drogba, why the heck are you still play acting for?

Real or Barca will get Apoel I am very sure about that. Uefa will get their dreamfinal this time.

It's one of those rare times that i can look at the possible CL quarters and not be thinking of how I'd like to see the draw line up to best help United (although I wish that I was :frown.

Benfica - Chelsea
Barcelona - Bayern
APOEL - OM
Real Madrid - Milan


It won't end up like that of course but I think that would make for a nice balanced draw. Real or Barca will get the plum APOEL tie. All due respect to APOEL because they've done magnificently and shown that the smaller clubs from the 'lesser' nations can make an impact but of the teams left they are still the club that everyone will want to draw in the quarters if they want the best chance of progressing.

In the three practice runs Chelsea have drawn Barcelona twice and Madrid once.
