Manchester United are determined not to let Chelsea win the league against them at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 29th April, according to goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar. The Blues head into their home tie needing only a point to hold on to their Premiership title, but The Red Devils want to win to delay the Londoners' celebrations until they are safely back in Manchester. Sir Alex Ferguson ordered his players to form a guard of honour to applaud the newly-crowned champions last season, and United would hate to have to do it again.

"The feeling in the camp is that they cannot be celebrating after the game against us," van der Sar commented. "We do not want to be part of that. We are playing very well, especially away from home and there is a lot of spirit.

"We are positive about what we are doing and we can use it to give us a good feeling for next season," he said. United have already surpassed last season's total points tally of 77 points, when they finished third, 18 points behind Chelsea, and the big Dutch shot-stopper feels the team will be better for the next campaign. "The key to it is starting better and not dropping as many points at home as we have done," he said.

"This season we have dropped too many." The 2-1 victory at Tottenham on Easter Monday was United's tenth win in 11 matches and strengthened their position in the automatic UEFA Champions League spot, six points clear of Liverpool. Sky Sports News

There is no way that Chelski are going to lose every game left now, but United can delay the inevitable by winning at The Bridge, a feat they are very capable of doing. 1230 Kick Off.

United then finish off a disappointing season with two home games against Boro and Charlton.

I have a feeling that we can go and pick up all three points at the Bridge this saturday.

It would be a dampener of all sorts if Chavski pick up the point they need to secure their title against us :(

Well I do hope we win this one. Maurinho needs to be put in place. Hopefully the defeat against Liverpool will have a demoralising effect on them.

Ferguson would definetly wont want a draw as he definetly wont like to see Chelsea lift the title infront of him.

    Team News:
Saha was troubled by an ankle problem prior to the Easter period but has trained solidly over the past fortnight and could oust Ruud van Nistelrooy from a Red Devils line-up which must beat Chelsea to prevent Jose Mourinho's men clinching back-to-back titles.

Gabriel Heinze will miss the trip after picking up a minor groin injury on reserve team duty in midweek.

United (from): Van der Sar, Howard, Neville, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Silvestre, Evra, Ronaldo, Giggs, O'Shea, Richardson, Park, Rooney, van Nistelrooy, Saha, Rossi, Pique.

I really hope the players use the fact that if Chelsea get a result against us they will be champions and I hope this is an incentive for them to go out and make sure those Scummers dont win the title in front of us.

My preffered line up for today is ::

    Van der sar
    Neville-Ferdinand-Vidic-Silvestre
    Ronaldo-O'Shea-Giggs-Park
    Saha-Rooney

I think Louis Saha's pace and movement will trouble John Terry more than Van Nistelrooy but if we do play Ruud we need the service into him to be top class.

I predict a 2-1 victory for United

Match is just about to start ,,, Jose is unbeaten in 49 games at home .. n 49 is the lucky number for us to always break records .. so hope we do it today as well .

    Ani, is it 49 or 43 ?

Anyway, this is how we should lineup IMO -

    --------------------Flying Dutchman-----------------------

    --Gazza-----------Rio----------Brown-------------Heinze/Micky------

    ---Park-----------Fletcher(no O'Shea please)--------Giggs------------Ronaldo----

    ---------------------El Blanco Pele----------------------

    ------------------------Ruud---------------------------

Hi guys, i'm new-i've just posted in the new members section.

I'm just about to watch the game, i'd agree with what's been said, we're more than capable of winning the game. In a sense to a certain degree we've got nothing to lose really because if Chelsea win or draw most people will say they expected them to win the title anyway.

So, it's going to be interesting...c'mon the Red Devils!:)

I'm absolutely gutted. Chelsea winning the Premiership against us is one thing, but the injury to Rooney has made things so much more worse.

What a terrible way to concede the title to Chelski. Not only were we beaten hands down, we were bullied on the pitch by them. I don't remember Vidic managing to win a single header against Drogba.

Tweety was back to his usual self, and his poor positioning cost us dearly.

And the lack of a genuine midfielder was clearly obvious. While at one end Makelele was cleverly breaking up the play, the likes of O'Shea and Giggs did nothing.
