Still gutted. Genuinely thought we had a good chance of winning before the game, and again when Rooney scored. The stats suggest that we were worse than in Rome (possession, shots on target etc.), but I think the performance as a whole was slightly better.
It was almost a carbon copy of what happed in 2009 which is the most disappointing thing, we were top class for the first ten minutes really distrubting them and getting in there faces and they had no answer for it, we really had them ruffled and they had no real answer for it! Then after them first ten minutes we either faded or just switched off and forgot about doing it which gave them time and space on the ball and if it's anybody you don't want to give time and space on the ball to it's Barca because they will destroy you! I feel sorry for Edwin the most, he should have went out on a high but he went out on a low and with a pretty poor performance too, but still without him we wouldn't have even had the season we had he was top class for 95% of the matches and will always be a United legend in my eyes! i
Yeah lets all blame Ryan Giggs the rest of our team were so great its all his fault we got beat not the rest of our team or the quality of the opposition. Strange Fergie couldn't even be bothered to use our full allocation of three substitues especially when we were getting owned.
The match was not about Manchester United being poor, no team in Europe would have done better. This current Barcelona side is phenomenal and will be remembered as one of the greatest teams ever. It's no shame losing to this side and an overhaul is not required. No combination of players on the field would have defeated them. They play the best football i've ever seen.
Well said hags...we used to get super-giddy if we got to the FA cup final...spoilt by success..just accept we got hammered..look forward to next season. I'm off to watch Benny Button..bugger football.
so down that he doesnt want to see and hear anyone.....and surely not to be pictured in that mood. some should give him a big hug and tell him not to miss the Parade. He´d regret it if hes missing this.
