I love Cavani, he's sensationally good, last season he showed more of his true ability in terms of goals, and there may be more to come, BUT we don't need him. The last thing we need is a striker.

We don't need. He's a better player than Hernandez, but Hernandez is going to become a better player, IMHO.

Berba will most likely stay, but yeah, **** ain't going so well with Berba and Saf's relationship I imagine. CL, no contract talks, and other teams like PSG trying to court the SEX, anything can happen. remember a lot of time left for unexpected things to happen. Kinda like when we signed Berbatov.

no contract talks before end of the season because United was still fighting for the titles. His agent always said the talks will be after the season....About the relationship with SAF we can only speculate, maybe we all read too much in it.

But even if he´s leaving we dont need another striker. Owen will get more games, thats why he got that new contract. If the plan was to buy someone like Cavani Owen had left. You don´t buy such a player to rotate him with Hernandez.

dont think we really need a new striker, only really need a creative CM and then to get rid of some of the dead weights (Gibson, Obertan, Bebe etc.) then push through some of the younger players.

Football Italia - the Italian football website for English-speaking football fans

The representative of Napoli ace Edinson Cavani has dismissed suggestions of interest from Manchester United.

“This is the time of the year when it is normal to hear talk of transfers to big clubs for astronomical fees,” Claudio Anellucci told Radio Sportiva on Thursday.

“The majority of the time there is nothing to them, as is the case with regards to a possible move to Manchester United for Edinson.”

The Uruguayan international joined Napoli from Palermo last summer in a deal worth €17m in total.

The striker had a stunning debut campaign at the Stadio San Paolo and finished the season with 33 goals in 47 games.

In May he signed a new contract at Napoli which saw him, as well as earn a wage increase, commit himself to the club until June 2016.

I think Cavani and Hamsik will give Napoli one more year at least, they are in the Champions League remember.

Cavani will be in the prem next year I can George Foremen guarantee that. no chance in cold hell that the mighty napoli will keep a grip on the likes of hamsik, lavezzi, and the flowing locks of cavani.

So effing fun to watch! Rio even thinks so... :)

Ferdinand says - Cavani is the type of player I'd pay to go and see....game comes easy to him, natural. He will cost someone a lot of money soon.

For sure it is not going to be UTD who will bear that cost :)
