We're lucky to have only lost 2-3 tbh, absolutely horrendous performance, possibly one of our worst this season. One or two of the players really need to take a look at themselves after that. Felt really bad for DDG - conceded 3 when it was easily at least a 9/10 performance.

We really did get given a footballing lesson tonight. That truly was murder to watch.

You're right, don't expect that to happen. I mean, when has a team scored 2 goals away and kept a clean sheet while playing poorly? Must have been well before my time and presumably yours. So hard to think of a time when that has happened.

One of the worst things about this season is that teams come to OT and play without fear.

Still think we can advance, mostly because we were so fortunate to only lose 3-2, we wont be so complacent next time, which has been the story of our European campaign so far, very arrogant to think we could go with no natural midfielders, go with Giggs and Jones and assume we could win against a side who can keep the ball as well as Bilbao. Hope we pack the midfield next time and make it more difficult for them. A lot of the flaws in our young defenders were exposed tonight, particularly Jones and Rafael. If we approach the game in Bilbao like that it could be a cricket score.

That was one of the worst refereeing decisions I've ever seen. Lose your boot when you're not involved in the action anymore? Free kick obviously.

What was Rafael playing at too? Horrendous.

Its an offence to play with only one boot apparently hence the FK, im sorry but thats ********, it hardly caused a huge error in the game wasnt like 6 of their players tripped over the loose boot, sort it out.
