how about, instead of telling us they have money to spend, they can afford wages but they cannot find the quality, they just actually go out and buy someone, without all this build up of "we are looking to strengthen" because we know how it ends

he´s right. we dont have the money for big signings. so we take the ones other big clubs do not want. Kagawa is a fantastic player, he´s not avarage. But other clubs didnt seriously go for him, thats why we got him and relatively cheap.

Please tell me you don't really think no other team wanted Kagawa. Every team gets rejected by players, every team gets out bid for players. City just got beaten to Hazard, Chelsea were beaten to Robinho, looks like Madrid might be beaten to Neymar. It happens and you move to the next target.

He does have a point we have not made a big name signing in a long long time you look the teams that you have mentioned above all of them have made big name signings in recent years something which we have not been able to do. We do offer big money take a look at the £30m deal for Berbatov.
