Playing one as Everton myself. First right game since I've started. Finished 9th last year and Carling Cup place to Europe. Had practically zero to spend. Didn't know myself this year when I had 12 million. Bought Paloschi, Adam Johnson and Esteban Granero. Our style of play has improved anyway thus far.
They way this is going, 4th place is looking good. If I don't get knighted after that, there's something wrong. I had better get a decent transfer kitty for next season.
I finished 4th in my first season with Wolves, won the CL 2 seasons after that. Seydou Doumbia is the best player in the game, scored 55 goals in the CL season. Also had Eriksen and Hazard at that point. Still no f**king knighthood.

No, not about the results. I'm quite sure you can beat the hell out of Liverpool. But the transfers are really jaw-dropping.
Nah, these are players at their prime, i got good money and wanted to put my own stamp on the team, the Gotze one was the only real jawdropping one, but i offered £70m the summer before and they rejected it... Top team in the world, by an absolute mile, my second string could beat most teams
I've made a 4-2-4-0 formation on FM which bossed for me, and I've uploaded it onto the FM forum and given it to my mates and everyone seems to be getting win after win with it - whether they are a previously struggling league 1 team or a high flying Premiership team. Give it a try honestly. My mate was bottom of League 1 with a newly promoted Wrexham side at Christmas - ended up winning all but 2 of his remaining games (the other 2 were draws) and got promoted. Let me know how you get on.
So, I finished 4th with Swansea City in my first season! I was given a transfer kitty of €35 million for the new season. I bought Sigurðsson permanently for €9.5 million and loaned in Caulker again because Spurs wouldn't budge on their €15.5 million asking price. I loaned in Romeu from Chelsea, and have an option to buy him for €10 million. I bought Naughton for €1.5 million, Will Keane for €1.2 million and signed Petrucci on a free transfer. I bought Rochina for €9 million as well. I forgot to mention earlier in the thread that it was the exact same Swansea squad as in real life, bar the signings of Pearce and McGugan. I also signed Guti on a 6 month deal but let him go.
Counter attacking football ftw. I tried that possession playing style at first, but we kept getting taken apart on the break. So I switched to a counter attacking style. I played a deep defence and had Britton and Allen right in front of the back four. They just soaked up endless pressure and we'd then take teams apart with Sinclair and Dyer's pace, as well as Graham's clinical finishing. William and Caulker scored 12 goals between them from set-pieces. Vorm was a hero, he saved me endless amounts of times.
Stopped playing a long time ago, started playing CM01-02 with current players/ squads. Might give FM12 a go again one day.
How you finding that? Loved C< 01/02...prob my favorite football game ever. I'd even play it now non stop with the players from the original database
