Williams were the upcoming force when I started watching F1 in the late 80's. The early to mid 90's Williams Renault was by far the best car on the grid, and the fact Schumacher won two titles for Benetton in that time is down to his skill as a driver. It's also very spooky to see "Senna - Williams Renault" on the time sheets again. I hope Bruno can keep the thing pointing in the right direction long enough to score some points. Yeah, the Kimi I saw on TG was very entertaining - but he didn't have his "game face" on. The ones with the F1 press are usually pretty dull.
Being a Ferrari man I'm disappointed at how far off the pace they are and the result today but overall it was a great race today. Really exciting stuff from start to finish, early signs are we're in for a great season.
Hamilton on Pole for Malaysia. I'm watching the rerun of qualifying at the moment - Massa eliminated in Q2, but they were saying he did well so serious questions about the Ferarri. Also there are rumours around that Massa might not see out the season there, don't know who Ferarri could get now the season is underway though.
Well Massa (and the Ferrari car) is so poor recently it doesnt matter who they get. I'd rather see Bianchi getting track time and experience than continue watching Massa
I don't like Hamilton much but as driver you have to appreciate him. He is a pure racer, gotta love his style on the track. Tomorrow is going to be interesting, the tyres look like they are just melting away here so the strategy will be key. Red Bull are top class at picking the right strategy and knowing when to bring their guys in so it should be interesting. I truly hope Schumacher can bring it home but I don't think he has much chance. As for Massa its not as if he was far off the pace. He has been given a shitty car and was a tenth or 2 behind Alonso. He done ok in Qualifying imo.
Not really, same car and yet Massa was still 3 tenths behind Alonso who was having problems with his KERS if i heard correctly.I think he is a shdow of his former self and i dont see what he brings to Ferrari now Im hoping Button takes Hamilton at the first corner again and Vettel gets stuck in traffic. Would be nice to see Webber get a good start for once
Was a massive fan of Schumacher and Ferrari when he drove for them. Now I support Button. I like Massa too. Good to see Raikkonen back too, used to be behind him too before he left F1 for WRC (mainly because he drove for Ferrari).
Schumacher was a legend behind the wheel but its amazing just how much the FIA let him get away with throughout his carear, that said it was damned impressive how he moulded that team around him and i dont think we'll ever see anything like that again. I actually like Button and he comes across as an approachable and likeable guy. I still think this year will see the breakdown in the relationship between Button and Hamilton, weve already seen the petulant side to Hamilton this season and if Button again looks like he is going to be top driver in 'his' team again i think things will start to turn sour. Thankfully for Jenson the staff at McLaren have taken a shine to him so it wont be cut and dry
You should read "Team Schumacher" it's a great book about exactly how Schumi assembled the dream team. Great start from Lewis - It's wet though, so perfect for Jenson.
Red flagged...the selfish side to me says they are pro drivers so should be able to cope. Though to be honest i just love the drama involved when its seriously wet Im praying that it clears up before they call it off
