Woods is the Greatest ever. :)

Looking forward to the Open at Birkdale but alas it won't be the same without el tigre ;)

    Totally agree.

Hopefully, it'll open the door for one of the Europeans to win. I'll be there on the Saturday to cheer them on.

    Nice :)

I think Justin Rose and Westwood are the English players with the best chance of winning. Paul Casey could also do well.

Harrington to retain his title though  :D

Justin Rose will probably be up near the top after 3 rounds, then choke in the final round

I keep expecting big things from Luke Donald in the majors but he hasn't really delivered yet. I'd like to see any European win it tbh - especially with the Ryder Cup being this year.

Donald and Adam Scott are two players picked to "break through" every major that just don't

It is time to take that next step

Scott really doesn't play bad but he fails to jump up and stay on top

Luke Donald has pulled out injured and is now a major doubt for the Ryder Cup. Padraig Harrington is struggling to make the Open after his injured wrist gave out during today's practice session.

    Come on Justin Rose!!!

Begun to taking a liking to the sport.

Can't stand watching it, so boring and dull :p

Played a full course yesterday and thought it was great. Also got my first full set
of clubs to call my own too! :D

Shall be whacking many golf balls this Summer...

Surprise leader is Greg Norman would you believe. Crappy conditions though.

You will not believe how badly sunburnt I got on Saturday. I went to Royal Birkdale with my older brother expecting torrential rain and ended up with a face the colour of a tomato. - I looked just like that!

Other than that, I had a brilliant day. First golfer I saw was Colin Montgomerie - he had a grimace on his face and everyone, including me, was mumbling 'cheer up you miserable git!' Then I saw Ernie Els before going over to the practice ground where I watched Justin Rose and Retief Goosen hit a few drives. Nick Faldo came over to have a chat with Justin Rose and it was good to see one of my golfing heroes up close.

After that we positioned ourselves behind the 4th green and watched Rose, Goosen, Garcia, Dougherty and the amateur Chris Wood. Graeme Storm also came through and a group of lads shouted to him 'Come on Graeme, we've got money on you!' which made him look up and smile as he walked past us. :D

We then moved onto the 1st green and sat in the grandstand to watch Norman, Choi, Harrington etc complete their 1st hole.

The only golfer I wanted to see that I didn't get the chance to was Phil Mickelson.

Congratulations to Padraig Harrington on retaining his title. That is a heck of an achievement. Also, well done to Ian Poulter. He may wear ridiculous clothes but he showed that he can compete for a major. Greg Norman did what he usually does - just falls short on the final day.

Fair play Dwarfy, sounds like you had a good time, despite looking like a beetroot :D
Great result for Harrington to retain the title, even with an injury.
    Cmon the Irish :)
Fair play to Greg Norman as well. Only heard he married Chris Evert (tennis)
last week and thats why he was playing so well, cos he was relaxed and happy.

didn't realize you were going dwarf...I actually went to the PGA when it was at Southern Hills in Tulsa and saw Tiger hit an amazing shot...but the best was following Daly, I believe we went on the second day, and he had actually gotten in the lead or was there about, and it was crazy seeing him puff those cigs, then launching a 375 yarder...also made some nice jokes with the locals (can't remember any at the moment)...but it was a neat environment...probably not as cool as Royal Birkdale, but oh well

Yeah, that's the 3rd Open I've been to. I've completed the North West England set now - Lytham St Annes, Hoylake and Royal Birkdale.

    The one at Hoylake.

I'd already been once before so I knew to go 3 or 4 holes ahead of a popular pairing I wanted to see so that I could get a good view of the green.

I saw Monty miss a 3 foot putt, Tiger Woods tee off from less than 5 yards in front of me and Mickelson get a birdie.

    It was great! :)

Currently 5th PGA player Ernie Els has came to the Czech Republic!

And in 2009, there will be PGA European Tour in the Czech Rep. which is really great news for all Czechs who are golf-positive.

The Czech Rep. PGA European Tour could take place on the course near the castle Karlštejn.:

Coming to the last couple of holes of the last major of the year.

Looks like the winner will be Harrington or Garcia as Curtis is in trouble atm (though he does have an extra hole to play i think?)

    COME ON HARRINGTON!!

Harrington and Garcia are on the 18th. While Curtis is on the 17th.

Curtis is actually still in it, he recovered very well.
