    People ripping on Gambon are crazy. He feels so much more powerful than the original, for me he and Rickman make the films.

    I presume you haven't read the books. Gambon just does not portray Dumbledore like he is portrayed in the books

    They did, it was one of the Halloween episodes.

    I didn't think Gambon was a bad Dumbledore, but he did seem too aggressive in GOF. He got better as the series went on and was pretty good by HBP. If he read the books he would have been much better. Richard Harris was perfect as DD.
