Just seen this on team talk:

    http://www.teamtalk.com/news/2483/7788441/United-top-of-Prem-crock-list

Seems we officially had the worst run with injuries last year in the premier league. Could it be that Hargreaves had a point when he criticised our medical set up?

No. We are Manchester United. We have world class facilities.

We were just unlucky last season.

I've always had a raised eyebrow when it comes to our injuries...last season wasnt the first time we have had a huge injury list crippling selections. We really have seemed to suffer more than any other Premier League club over the last few years.

We seem to have been unlucky for a couple of seasons on the trot now though dont we?

Just because we are Manchester United doesn't mean our facilities/staff cant be less than top class in any area. We tend to show exceptional loyalty to staff so its entirely possible our medical team have been there a while and have lost touch a little. Possibly it is just bad luck or aging players like Owen being on the books

Last season and the season before that, we had serious injury list (Remember Carrick and Evra playing CB?). And before that I honestly can't remember, so I'd say it wasn't that bad...refresh my memory if u can.
Sure, we have been unlucky plus we have injury-prone players, BUT the difference between us and City is so huge(City's injuries times 10, ffs) that I find it hard to blame just that. There's gotta be more to this... but I know sh*t about our physios and medical facilities-anyone in the know?
Whatever the cause, it's clear we gotta be harder on City players next year:D Another reason I can't wait for Vidic to get back...

Should get Giggs' Yoga instructor in. A lot of our injuries are inexcusable, soft tissue injuries caused in training. Absolutely ridiculous that top athletes, in top facilities are pulling/tearing muscles in fecking training ffs!

It's down to Alex Ferguson we get injuries down to the tactics he plays and the way he sets the team up.

I think United just get targeted by teams for rough treatment. It also depends on the players themselves - Ronaldo very very rarely got injured, whereas we had Michael Owen bumping up our figures this season.

Giggs has always been injury-prone, as have the twins.

But I think back to Arsenal's tactics against us (brutal), and the likes of Kevin Davies challenges on United players, and it's no coincidence. I can't remember anyone giving City the rough treatment.

Edit : er, Joey Barton aside of course with his :timebomb:

Alot of our injuries happen in training, someone needs to look at the routines abit closer in my opinion!

In all seriousness, I think the key is in that area. Perhaps change the warm up routines or strengthen the joints in the gym?
