My opinion has got nothing to do with risk, it's all about how good they are.

Don't know about Banega, he's a bit hit and miss from what I've seen. And he's still injured, isn't he? Sahin however is pure class but it seems like he's very relucant to leave Madrid, especially if you go by rumors.

Haven't seen a lot of him to be fair apart from in the Euros there, but he does look a decent player and the sort we could be doing with..... Still rather M'Vila though and would get him at a cheaper price.... Apparently hes Arsenal bound but the way that club is at the minute surely a move to United would be far more appealing for him.

The more I read about M'Vila the more I can't see Fergie tolerating his attitude.

I think, the best option for the United midfield is Cabaye, but in the end we don't need anyone of the rumours, we have Cleverly, Tunniclife, Kagawa now, Fletch is comming back...the true problem position in the team is the left-back...Evra isn't the player he was once...what should Sir buy on that position?;)

I think he'd be a great signing, enough defensive ability to sure up our midfield but also enough technique and passing ability to create time and space when we're being pressed high up the pitch. Our major downfall was giving the ball away under pressure last year and we need midfielders more capable of keeping it under pressure. Carrick is fantastic given time on the ball but can be sloppy when hurried.

Yess, you have right... We need a midfielder like Roy Keane, we need a leader in the team, a player who have the ability to bring the team up when they need that.. Also a good boy for the midfield is Powell, i watched videos from him, he is in my opinion the combination of Wayne, and Scholes... :D

I think you should prepare yourself for disappointment there.

I totally agree but didn't you hear? There is only ONE Keano. . . And unfortunately he's almost 41 years old, has a broken down body and is usually seen sat down next to Adrian Chiles and Gareth Southgate these days. Time is the most brutal of enemies.

I don't agree with you over Fletch, he was the only player in the match against Shity who showed a "Man.Utd" face, in many, many games he was the only one who played for the team, i think you should watch it in a more objective perspective... And i know that Keano will never come back, like a player, but United can't be United if there is not a player like he was... And you should say who do you think is the best midfielder and leader for United ?

And there's no link to it just yet, but #mufc have tabled a £20m bid for Joao Moutinho. Porto want something around £26m.

I think they'd be satisfied with £23/24m. Let's hope this is true and we can get him.

In fairness the Times doesn't generally just make stuff up like the tabloids do, so I'd be hopeful that this is true. If we could get him for about 25 million I think it'd be a great signing.

Getting seriously excited about this one now it's in the Times. The guy has a bit of everything we need to boost out midfield: ability to keep and control possession, eye for a pass, ability to win the ball back, positional discipline and versatility too.

He could also operate alongside Carrick, as the main playmaker - or alongside Cleverley as the deeper player.
