Joe Cole has been AWFUL since his injury, right now Landon is MUCH better than he is. Cole is talented but he seems to have completely lost his way, he has to prove that he can get back to the level he was at.

Joe cole has more experience at the top level, Donovan doesnt have the mentality to succeed at a top four side.

either one would be a very useful addition to our squad , personally id go for joe cole ,he is proven in the prem and would be a much better option financially .
i think a change of club would do wonders for the lad , he has had a bit of a nightmare since his injury and is struggling a bit of late , however form is temporary , class is permanent .

Thanks Piazza. Well - I guess I'd be happy with either of them.

Landon Donovan is a pretty good player. I see no reason why Chelsea wouldn't make an offer. he works hard and is also American, which will help him as the U.S is one of the 'markets' that football clubs seem determined to 'break'. Also, his age is no barrier in Chelsea signing him, after all, Ancellotti is their manager.

Joe Cole has been a very good player for Chelsea, but i'm worried that he might have had his best days. His injury record is far from the best too. I wouldn't be against us signing him by any means, especially not on a free transfer, But it's far from as much of a sure-fire hit as it first appears.
