Who are they? You got any info on them?

Good news on it is there's no option to buy in the deal. Hopefully he'll get a chance when he returns. Good player.

Can't see it Maco. To my knowledge everyone who has gone abroad on loan hasn't come back. Think it will happen again, Unfortunately.

I see what you mean. In terms of development, he's 19, made 1 first team appearance. Looks strong but last season was his first one in the reserves. After years in the Academy. I think this will be a good move for him. Chance to test himself in a foreign country. For such a young lad, it would be good, new country, new language. And a new style off football. I think he'll comeback, but he'll go out on loan again, in England.

Monchengladbach mull King move | Manchester United News, Fixtures, Results, Transfers | Sky Sports

Borussia Monchengladbach will wait on the outcome of surgery on Manchester United youngster Joshua King before deciding on a loan move.

The 19-year-old, a 2008 signing from Valerenga, requires an operation after picking up an injury while on Norway Under-21 international duty earlier this month.

Bundesliga outfit Monchengladbach are keen to bring in the attacker on a season-long loan, but admit concerns over his long-term fitness.

"We have to see how long it will take him to recover after this operation and whether it makes sense to borrow him," Borussia sporting director Max Eberl told the club's official website.

"Our medical department is in contact with the doctors of Manchester United and from the information they give us it will ultimately depend on whether the transfer will occur or not."

King, who spent time at Preston last season, is expected to make a decision on another loan deal in August, should the German outfit pursue their interest.

He's had his loan with Borussia Monchengladbach terminated. He's returned to United with strong rumors that he could be off to Hull City until the end of the season. Nick Barmby has already expressed an interest in him.

What a disaster that loan was. We really need to look at our loans abroad. Kiko, King and Bebe all failed or have gotten injured. Unless we plan to ship them off with a pre-agreed fee we should keep them in this country.

Really hope Josh does well there. Before he went to Germany on loan, I thought he was our Reserves' star man with pace and accuracy in front of goal.

He scored a really good goal and set up one today. He's hitting top form. Their fans have been impressed.

I remember reading Preston forums and the fans were crazy about King. What happened to him in Germany? I thought he'd go on and make an impression there.
I remember he got an injury while at Preston was it very serious?

King is one of the best players that I've ever seen come through our ranks. He's very injury prone and desperately unlucky though.

He's strong, fast, skillful, agile, works hard and can beat players for fun when in the mood. He's also usually quite composed in front of goal. He has pretty much everything that you'd look for in a striker. I know people don't like comparisons but I'd compare him to Benzema. He's that type of player. They have a lot of similar attributes and traits.

He joined a team that had two good strikers and who were challenging for Champions League places. They overachieved and couldn't afford to risk playing a young, up and coming striker. He picked up an injury at Preston that kept him out of action for a few weeks.

I noticed his composure and pace in his cameo appearance against Wolves in the cup few years ago. He seems unlucky, as I remember few United fans that he has more potential than Welbeck, and Preston fans saying that he was incredible and the best player we've loan to Preston since Backham.

Just seen his goal, did well to pounce on a loose ball, and showed great pace and composure for his great finish.

You have to give it to the lad, he have ambition.

There's an interview with him from yesterday where he says that he'll try his best to get into the first team before christmas. If he doesn't succeed he'll consider his options as his contract runs out this summer.

I'd love him to stay at United but ultimately what determines that will be how many goals he gets for the U21s. He has the pace and strength, but recently his finishing has been a little wayward. At the moment it's hard to see where he can make inroads in to the first team? His past two loan spells have been blighted by injury. I would love him to have a full season starting for another Premier League side. It worked wonders for Danny Welbeck, and arguably King can also cover the left wing and front man roles that Welbeck has done.

He says that he wants first team opportunities at United. Let's face it Josh: It's not gonna happen. If he wants any chance of a long-term future at the club I think a couple of successful loan spells are a must.

It won't take too long before these players that have left in the past two or so seasons come back to haunt us. Just today the story about Tosic reminded me how bitter it can be to watch players who we departed with tear sh*t up.

I guess it is a bit off topic, but the way Fergie forces Macheda makes it seem like he's the only Striker in the youth ranks. Why doesn't he just get rid of the rotten meat and get the fresh in and move on with everybody's life is beyond me. Get rid of Kiko, Bebe and the like's of Giggs, Scholes to make room for these potential world beaters who are more regularly leaving the club than playing for it.

He has all the attributes except the final composure and technique. Would probably still make it at PL level.
