According to the daily mail, his agent stated: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Sir-Alex-eyes-Kagawa-Lewandowski-Hummels.html What do people make of this? If Owen and Berbatov do leave, it might leave an opening for another striker. Is he the right option though?
He's a good striker and I think he'd do well in England. However, we have three very good strikers in Rooney, Welbeck and Chicharito. And we'll still have one of Owen and Berbatov, as well as young strikers with potential like King and Keane. Macheda is still in Ferguson's plans as well. A striker is literally the last thing that we need right now. Welbeck is the future. I think Ferguson has said as much himself.
Would be a great signing as a back up player, very talented. But, contract negotiations ongoing, they want more money, SAF at the Dortmund game the other night. The agent is clearly just trying to scare Dortmund into giving more £££
According to a half decent source of twitter (which means its most likely crap) this is legit. I'd be happy with two of the three to be fair. But Kagawa is still my favourite to sign.
I think he's a good player but he's not what we need. He'd just end up warming the bench like Berbatov has this season.
I can see Hernandez will go this summer or next if we sign Lewandowski.(trivially Owen,Berbatov will go this summer) Sounds like he has just 1 year left on his contract?May be his price will be cheap.Great striker. He will improve our front line, obviously.
Good player, fairly similar to Welbeck though. Wellers just need to get his scoring going a bit and he'll be the better player overall. Plus, Lewandowski only started to make an impact this season so it's not like he's a notorious match winner anyway, and he would cost a shedload of cookies.
No, just no. Welbeck will be better than him in about a year or so. We should look for a package of Kagawa, Hummels, and Gotze if we're looking to clean them up, but Hummels and kagawa would do nicely.
The only was I read this story is that it is a bit of opportunism for his agent. It's clear from the story that they are after more money from Dortmund, and what better incentive for the club to quickly raise his wages than to fend off the interest from a rich club.
Dortmund would be mad to let him go, especially since Barrios has left the club as well. He's too good to be a 4th choice striker, and I would like to see more and more of Welbeck, who I think has the potential to become world class.
He would be a sensation in the prem and for two seasons no side would cope with him. I think saf was there watching pigsticker though and tying up the kagawa deal
Apparently a few weeks ago he said he wants to stay for a long time. Probably the agent trying to earn himself a few more pennies.
