No. Because he's hobbling round his kitchen on crutches.

Good luck to him, can still do a decent job if not injured.

The deal with Stoke has not been finalised yet. The "subject to Premier League approval" is a huge stumbling block at the moment because Stoke had already submitted their 25-man squad list. Free agents can only be signed as additions to an incomplete squad. Stoke have had to apply for special permission from the Premier League to replace one of their squad members (believed to be Michael Tonge).

Great move for Owen if it's finalised, should get alot more starts playing for a mid league club with aspirations for higher, look forward to seeing Crouch/Owen partnership renewed upfront, with a lack of quality up front for england and if there are injuries one of them could make a shock return if they are in good form in the premiership.

I will be watching every stoke game when its on tele from now on if the owen deal goes through, i couldnt give a damn about watching them before apart from against us :)

Congrats on your move Micheal, best of luck at Stoke and thank you for the goal against City which is up there as one of my best moments as a United fan.

Are you going to keep posting here now btw that you've joined Stoke?

Long ball ---> Header from Crouch ---> Goal Owen

    Could actually work.

Good thing he joined Stoke. Even though Liverpoop were only considering a move for him, I think he did a good job on his part by not being eager to join them. Something that c**t Hargreaves should have done, when West Bromwich were ready to sign him.

No he couldn't, he's just not as complete. At his best though he was something spectacular and should have a better legacy than what he will get.

The fact that he said "can't wait to see him play" makes your post a bit silly, unless Owen speaks in 3rd person

I expect Owen's time at Stoke to go a little bit like this:

Makes debut. Plays pretty well. Doesn't score. Much of it put down to not being match fit.
Second game. Much the same story.
Third game. Scores scrappy winner. Praised for his goalscoring instinct.
Fourth game. Scores hat-trick. Papers talking about the possibility of him playing for England again and how he's a player 'reborn'.
Fifth game. Limps off injured after eight minutes and isn't seen again until early-March.

    ;)
