So what Neville gives Tevez the finger, the guy won the game for city and he's the one who's laughing, Gary Neville should channel his anger into playing well and stopping the likes of Tevez scoring, Yes Neville is united through and through but come on guys, hes had his day and should have gone last season if not the season before,

i know what tevez is , but gaz always opens his mouth and makes the teams or players he slags off play better , gaz has been a great servant to utd but he is certainly not a legend , paul parker was a far better full back than gaz .
more importantly i expected utd to lose last night but it was a great result because we dominated much of the match and i fully expect us to beat them in the return match , and now tevez has done a gazza and wound the utd players and fans up for game , as long as there are no stupid remarks from the utd camp to inspire the city players i expect a 2 goal victory for us.

Gaz is a legend not just how he plays but how he fights tooth and nail for his club! You can see the passion in his eyes. if we had more like him we would not be loosing games like we did yesterday! i also dont think what gaz said would have made to much of a diffrence to how city played if so how do you explain the first half?

Its true that more often than not, when trying to have a dig at sum1 it often bites you in the arse lol

he'll get a 3 match ban because it's Manchester United, Gary Neville and they'll want to make an example out of it.

Funny how someone makes a gesture towards united and hes a dirty little cnut, yet a united player does a gesture towards an opponent and hes a Legend.

Double standards do make me laugh.

Gary Neville faces FA probe over Carlos Tevez 'insult'

GARY Neville faces a possible FA investigation over an alleged obscene gesture towards Carlos Tevez.

The United defender appeared to make a one-finger insult during City's 2-1 Carling Cup semi-final first leg victory.

Neville reacted angrily to his former team-mate's celebrations as Tevez' derby double, who put Roberto Mancini's side within 90 minutes of Wembley at the expense of United.

The Football Association said they were “looking into” the incident, which was caught on camera.

Neville was warming up on the touchline as Tevez celebrated following his first half penalty, which cancelled out Ryan Giggs' opener.

The Argentine appeared to gesture towards Neville, who had claimed pre-match that Sir Alex Ferguson was correct to let the striker leave Old Trafford last summer.

Neville's response triggered more taunts from Tevez and the FA have confirmed they will look at the matter before deciding whether to take any further action.

Mancini has told Tevez to fire City to Wembley with another match-winning display at Old Trafford next week.

    Strike

Tevez's strikes – one from the spot and another with his head – were particularly sweet for Blues fans, who delighted in goading Ferguson last night, chanting: “Fergie, sign him up.”

And Mancini believes the former United star can inflict even more pain on Fergie's men with a repeat show next Wednesday.

“I hope Carlos can play the same in the second game and score another goal,” said the Italian. “But it is more important for us to win the game and get to the final. We know we have a difficult game.

“Carlos played a big game. He was very, very good and scored two goals. But I think the squad played very well to recover from going 1-0 down.

“I'm very happy for Carlos because he is an ex-United player – but it was more important to score two goals in an important game. United had three or four chances but, in Shay Given, we have one of the best goalkeepers.”

Tevez's double earned him the man of match award and took his total to 13 goals in 11 starts for City this season.

It was also the perfect response to Ferguson, who was accused of driving the striker out of Old Trafford by failing to give him enough first-team chances last term.

But Mancini refused to stoke the fire when asked if United had made a mistake by allowing the former fan favourite to leave.

"We are very happy because he plays for us, but United have some big players like Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Dimitar Berbatov. They are all very good players. But Carlos is a top, top player.”

And City's Gareth Barry believes Tevez was destined to score.

"Obviously the talk was about Carlos before the game and he did his talking on the pitch with a great performance,” said the midfielder. “That's the way it's written sometimes and the way Carlos works, he deserves it."
