Gary Neville was a very good full back back in the day, but Paul Parker was better.

The England caps argument doesn't really stand up, Emile Heskey has got over 50 caps for England, Matt Le Tissier has none, does that mean Emile Heskey is better?

And the trophies argument doesn't stand up either. If you switched the teams that Gary and Paul were in the medals tallies would reverse too.

It shouldn't be forgotten though that Gary was a very good player and a magnificent servant to the club... even if he can be a prick at times

You reckon? Steve Bruce is considered a top CB by people on this forum but not by anybody else.

The fact that Bruce got more votes than Pallister on the Top CB poll says it all.

He is recognised as a good defender, but obviously had the likes of Pallister, Adams, Keown & such to deal with on the England side.

And maybe the fact that he was captain and scored some legendary goals influenced people to vote him above Pally?
