Yeah. If anyone deserves it Valencia does, but I don't see the point in changing numbers like that especially when Toni was making the number 25 shirt his own.
The number 7 was made for Antonio.A classic winger from days gone by.Reminds me of alot of Stevie Coppell but a bigger & stronger version.I love the man.Totally deserved.
You need to be a leader to wear the 7, and Valencias leadership in the second half of the season proved to Fergie he can take the number and add another name to the legendary list.
he deserved it, he is a real fighter on the pitch, and a real United-Ferguson player, a player that every team would to have
Tyler Blackett wore the 42 and Frédéric Veseli wore 49 tonight. Do you think that's Fergie's way of sticking two fingers up at Paul Pogba and Ravel Morrison who last wore those two shirt numbers? Blackett and Veseli could have had a fair choice of shirts, as there were quite a few available due to the departures of De Laet, Matt James, and Oli Norwood. I also noticed on the MUTV caption that Sam Johnstone is now listed as #30 instead of #50. I just had a look on wiki and the Reserves page has been updated correctly in the case of Johnstone, Wootton, Blackett and Veseli, but a whole host of other players are also showing they now have shirt numbers. Can anyone confirm? I can't find any announcement about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester_United_F.C._Reserves_and_Academy
