Ive only seen him play centrally. But after further investigation, he seems to be playing the right hand side this season.

Well sometimes you have to shift versatile players around to fit in others i.e play Aimar.

In Benfica he's always a left or right midfielder. Even when Aimar is out.

Taken with a pinch of salt and all that. I remember many articles like this with the whole Sneijder saga. Won't think too much into it till the club/ Sky Sports/ BBC say something about this.

The link says a summer deal. And I doubt every player is going to be put off joining us now because we got knocked out of the CL once in the group stages.

even if we were in CL .. all those top targets would not be eligible to play for UTD in CL if signed in January.... the only option available who can qualify for CL is Rodwell .... ofcourse Gaitan would be eligible for Europa league

Here's my problem with this deal if the details are to be believed. We won't get him in January, only the summer, despite the recent performances of Jones/Carrick we need midfield reinforcement into our team at the earliest opportunity. I still think we need a player in January to come in. My next problem is if we do have to wait until the summer, £30m is a lot to be spending on a player, is he the best option at that price? I doubt it. Maybe we are banking on him not being in the Euro's and therefore his price inflating as we might see for Goetze, M'Vila or Martinez after a good tournament.

That said, he looks a good player, someone who'd fit in well with our attacking set up, I just think we could do better.

Anderson coming back earlier than expected....maybe Fergie doesnt think that buying in January is a must. And he still has the likes of Gibson and Park who need games, too. Nothing about Gibson leaving at the moment.....and Park surely won´t.
