Because he's an overweight, unmotivated crock who when he does actually play runs about a headless chicken and gives the ball away repeatedly while managing to keep the alleged 'talent' that we bought him for a mystery to United fans the world over. . . But he's also Brazilian and young enough for us to possibly fool Benfica into thinking that he either is or could still become a player. Thus potentially attractive for a club to take a gamble on him in a p/x.

To be honest, I'd be happy if we just sold Anderson full-stop he's neither use nor ornament as far as I can see. If Gaitan ended up coming the other way in any deal though it would make it all the better.

Its apparently 22m cash, but the total deal is equivalent to his buy out clause of 45m, so wheres the other 23m coming from, Macheda, Bebe and Petrucci arent worth that much together surely

    22M + Anderson would be a joke.

10M + Anderson would be acceptable. I've only seen him a few times but he's never impresses me.

I'd accept a 15M bid. I doubt we'd get more than 8M for him though and tbh I just want to clear a load of players out.

    15?????

Who the hell would pay that much for him. I'd set him at 8 tbh, and given how shit we are at selling, we'd probably get less than that.

10 I´d say. But he has a long contract and he might be unwilling to be included in such deals....

I rate him highly. I think he could have a similar impact for us to what di María has had at Real Madrid.

I rate him very low, I actually think Young would probably be better than him. He didn't impress me in any games except against us, and he was utter shit in the Porto - Benfica derby. AND he's a winger, we really don't need one right now.

He's better than Young and can play in any forward position. He's especially dangerous when cutting inside. He works hard as well.

Haven't seen enough of him to comment, but the price seems quite steep.

Not as steep as what dropping down the pecking order and going out of Europe early again will cost

for that 45million you could get about 2 world class players, or a bunch of promising upcoming talents. That is why I don't buy this.

I doubt it will be that much and with Chiteh behaving as they do, what decent players transfer fee isnt going to be inflated?

    It's a clause in a contract. It's a fixed amount.

You've read the contract then? Personally?

Yeah, exactly, its all hear-say at the moment, until the club or player himself confirm otherwise, there are 5+ stories doing the rounds, hearing Anderson, Bebe, Petrucci, Kiko, Park, Berbatov, Pogba all possibly involved, who knows whos to trust...

I reckon £20-£25m + Macheda and Petrucci is the true story, which i'd be devastated at, Petrucci looks a top talent...
