Well, he has proved quite a few people wrong this season. This thread makes for an interesting read.
Anyone who has not watched madrid this season, watch this. Ballon d'or winner in making. Anyone who has doubted him should be ashamed
Too late Fergie, too ******* late!
Yeah, 12 f*cking months too late.
I had the original Ozil thread, but of course almost nobody ******* bothered until this one was started during the World Cup.
too little too late. top player.
that's ******* impressive
I wanted him.
If he has another season like the last, he'll have doubled and possibly tripled his price tag....
Ozil doesn't fit us. He was a great signing for Madrid, but I'm not bummed that we missed on him.
Now what I don't get, the **** Fergie tries to sign Ozil from Madrid, when few years ago he could've signed Sneijder and Robben but didn't?
And I'm yet to watch Ozil play 90 minutes without looking ****ed at the end. His fitness is quite poor, in a similar way to Anderson this season, he looks knackered around the 60 minutes.
He snubbed us for Madrid last season when we were really keen on bringing him to OT, he clearly seen the money signs. So for that i wouldn't have him anywhere near our club when he decides he's not winning enough trophies at Madrid and fancies a move to England. Concentrate on players who actually want to play for the club rather than money grabbers like him.
Yes, the agent confirmed it today.
This can't be the first time Fergie is seen to have dragged his feet but I will go easy with him since he did not do likewise for others like "Gol (x10)....Chi Chi Chicharo". For the umpteenth times, just work quick on his CM target(s) which we really need to strengthen.
Agent: Ozil going nowhere - FourFourTwo
Manchester United have seen a tentative approach for Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil rejected, according to the player's agent.
The German arrived at the Bernabeu from Werder Bremen last summer for a reported €15 million, and has since become one of Los Blancos' key players.
The Old Trafford outfit are thought to be seeking a replacement for recently-retired star Paul Scholes, and Ozil was reported to be on their list of targets. But the 22-year-old's agent has said the player is not looking to leave Madrid.
"We thank Manchester United for their interest, but Ozil is fine in Madrid and has no intention of leaving," agent Reza Fazeli stated.
United had originally been linked with a move for the Gelsenkirchen-born midfielder before he sealed his move to Spain.
He's a superb talent (along with Marcelo)
he said after the world cup that he would love to play for us because it's a club that actually wins trophies, we just weren't that interested. If we were alongside Madrid, then the fee would've been much higher.
And tbh atm i highly doubt any non-british footballer would choose england over Barca/madrid.
What is he doing? This is almost embarassing, just leave him. He will be their number 10 next season and there is noway they're gonna let go of him. Fergie is really starting to do my head in, just ******* buy a central midfielder. Get Ander and Martinez, put them in the middle and viola.
scored a hat-trick tonight for germany. Class player, one that fergie should have signed, his value is just going through the roof at the minute, one lads that is performing for both club and country
he just tried to sign ozil and you are annoyed that he isn't trying to buy anyone???
In 3/4 years time I'll be looking back at Ozil the same way as Ronaldinho. A superstar in waiting that we missed out on.
What could we have done, I think Fergie pushed for him and he chose elsewhere. Ronaldinho was our mistake, Kenyon messed up and we have regretted ever since.
World class player but we don't really use attacking midfielders so to speak do we? Ozil is definitely not the box to box type and Fergie likes to stick midfielders in the center of the park.
This. Bringing him in would have meant less games for both Welbeck and Chicharito, plus it would mean moving Rooney out of his preferred position.
Well Fergie must have some sort of idea of where he'd play given that we've tried to get him in consecutive summer windows.
